This is a tough one.

It's a MATURE song going after a target audience. It's a song that will grow on the AVERAGE radio listener with the right air play. This obviously falls more into the Lost Highway category than The Circle. With Lady Antibella & a few others, this song definitely fits in with that type of sound.

As fans of different ages and generations, we want their music to sound like it did back then. I'm from the 80's and I'd love another Slippery &/or Jersey. A bunch of people would love a Faith & These Days. And I bet 10 years from now there are going to be fans that want another Crush or Bounce.

You need to take the fan out of you when listening to new music. We have listened to everything from Demos to Box Sets for the past 25+ years. Our brains are overwhelmed with Bon Jovi music so we compare a new song to every single song they have ever done.

As Bon Jovi matures, some of his music will as well. It's part of the progression. There is a reason why Bon Jovi is the only band still around from the 80's hair nation.

Getting back to the song itself. It's a bit safe. I think we were all expecting a big rocker. It's definitely a mature song. As a guy in his mid 30s from central Jersey, it's not exactly what I want to hear. But I think the song will fair well. Not a monster hit but could be a decent one with the right radio play.
