Well, it's definitely possible, seeing that Desmond also had written the chorus melody for Bad Name before they even met. Also compare the intro-riff from Rosie and "Hide Your Heart" by Kiss...

AC/DC I agree on, but GnR had co-writers, and still the band got the main writing credit. Not to mention Metallica having their producer co-writing the whole St Anger record, always only getting his name in as number 4. Also, how do you know who really had the most input? It's often been stated that Malcom Young wrote the Back In Black riff, and also all the lyrics since Razor's Edge, yet the writing order is always "Angus/Malcolm". Also see the Rolling Stones - Angie was written by Richards to large degrees, and Brown Sugar was written by Jagger ALONE, yet they all got "Jagger / Richards".
