Richie was apparently on the radio this morning and he was talking about the new album.
He said that it's due out in May and there are only 10 songs on it!
I can't believe this. It's been 20 years since they last only put 10 songs on an album. To me it points to lack of ideas and a rush job.
I've already got a bad feeling about this album!

That's suck nonsense. Bryan Adams' Reckless contains 10 songs and it's better than Bounce and Crush together. Slippery contains 10 songs as well. I don't care if it contains 10 songs. If it's a great album I don't mind. Not that I actually believe it will be. Also, Japan will get more tracks anyway. The Yanks 10, Europe 11 and Japan 12.

I agree with Seb. Quality is more important than quantity. I am hopeing that this album will prove that, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much like I did with Bounce. Bounce is not a bad album, but it wasn't what I thought it would be. I was a little disapointed with quality of the songs, except for The Distance, Hook Me up, and Right Side Of Wrong. The rest had mediocre lyrics and were a little too commercial for my taste.

10 good songs would be better than 7 or 8 good songs with 4 or 5 fillers, but it's hard to expect that they won't have the obligatory "All About Loving You" or "Thank You for Loving Me"-like songs.

Perhaps they have 10 tracks good enough not to require writing ones to pad it out. Bounce could have had tracks cut and a few of the demos added (Another Reason To Believe, Alive and Standing to name a few) and it would have been a better album, in my opinion.

Yet again peeople are judging something they haven't heard yet, more than a short performance of one song.

I can't wait to hear it anyway, and although he said he doesn't know how long he has said of a tour at least.

Yeah I agree with most of you, maybe they've just cut out the fillers this time. As long as I like the songs and the songs aren't all 3 minute songs then it's fine by me. 3 minute songs tend to suggest a lack of proper guitar solos and other instrumentals.

yeah i agree with quality over quantity thing. And i'll be happy if they longer 10 songs then 12 small ones.
