In my opinion part of the reason why they didn't add one in Legendary it was the reason i already said (this song also wants to approach even to those who don't know the band, doesn't have a favorite artist/band, but likes listen pop/pop rock songs).

I say that because if the band wanted to reach an audience of "fans" they would have added a guitar solo, but they didn't because they are also aiming mostly at those who are not fans of Bon Jovi or another band/artist in general.

P.S

A lot of BJ fans out of here are also boy/girls on socials that love anything Jon or the band make, so with or without solo they are happy the same...
You touched upon a really interesting point. Who are these songs for and what are they trying to do? They're not going to get a new fan base at this stage. They may attract the kids and grandkids of the people that have followed them off and on but they're not doing anything to shake it up (pardon the pun)

If the old school fans hate this, the 2000-era fans like it and the rest of the world ignores it, what's the point of any of it. If you have so few people interested in the new material they could do whatever they want and sales are just the same.

I think the Woah's will go over really massive live though, that part is growing on me.

With Limitless the only publicity i remember was the web contest that we had to imagine the words and sing on the instrumental basis of the song.

yeah the 2020 album had little or no publicity or advertising campaigns at all, it was as if they knew the album would not be very well received by the public. im glad they are promoting this album like they did with THINFS.

In all fairness, I can't go after them too hard for Limitless failure to do anything cosnidered it was released in the first half of 2020. We can only guess at what they planned on.

None of their albums are recieved well by the public though. They know this. They know how they sell without a tour crucial to boost their bragging points.

So... Limitless borrowed from Brokenpromiseland, and now Legendary repurposed the "'cause home is where you are and where I am" bit for "right where I am is where I wanna be"? Play the damn song live if you've come around to liking it!

The song itself is okay, some nice melancholic chord changes, but the drum beat in the chorus and the weird woahs hurt it a lot. This sounds like Jon trying to sound like a 2012 H&M rock song. Part 30 Seconds to Mars, part Imagine Dragons, part Coldplay, but I guess also just like a modern Bon Jovi song.

It at least doesn't sound like he's dying at the mic and sounds like a convincing radio track. Not sure if I like it more than Limitless tbh, that one had pretty nice verses musically.

I somehow feel Bon Jovi embraced the motto: "this is our album, all songs are radio friendly, but we don't stand behind it enough to use one of them, so here, there's your generic single that doesn't give you any glimpse of what's really on the record but fulfills all our stereotypes for the casual listener"

I think for the most part the first single has done its' job showing the vibe of the album....maybe?

Crush: ABSOLUTELY not
Bounce: Sounded close to one set of the three types of songs
HAND: For sure
LH: Yeah
The Circle: Pretty much
WAN: Yeah
2020: I don't feel like it did

I think this song will catch the vibe of the album but typically it's the first single is the most shallow of all of them lyrically because jeez, this one doesn't say a ton about anything. It just feels good.

Yep, the first single of every album is chosen to appeal to the widest amount of people possible. The only album that perhaps didn't adhere to this was Lost Highway.

There was absolutely nothing radio friendly on 2020. And I remember thinking that's I wanted.

It's not. This is much more Bon Jovi to me than anything on 2020, besides Luv Can.
