100% documentary and 40th anniversary has helped this. The band are actually pulling out all the stops promo wise this time, and taking advantage of both those avenues. Whether that converts into albums sales and chart positions remains to be seen...

Legendary is a much stronger first single than Limitless and perhaps catchier than This House.

I believe if this wasn't Bon Jovi, it would be all over the radio, based on the chorus alone.

i still can't believe how bad this song is
i think i hate it more than limitless and because we suck combined
legendary is the opposite of rock...it's just another plastic orientated country pop song produced for housewives

What's funny to me is that the band has made the switch to much more of a pop sound since at least 2000.

And, there are still people who expect a different course in 2024.

They sound how Jon wants to sound, and they release singles that (for the most part) Jon wants to release.

The bottom line is that the lead singer has absolutely no desire to sound like he did or release the kind of songs he did in the 80s or 90s, or even the 2000s.

That simple fact means that there are a ton of people who are disappointed by every single thing they release. That sucks, but Bon Jovi has always been a band who has been pigeonholed into a single sound, when in reality they have reinvented themselves two or three times at this point.
