99 in the shade, Love far sale, if that what it takes, Women in Love etc

There is a least 3 or 4 songs which are weak, and "Forever" won't be the exception.
Point. Slippery has one of the worst songs of Bon Jovi - Social Disease.

While THINFS numbers are higher for some songs, I don't think you're right about 2020's numbers being that much higher. Most of the album tracks has a comparable amount, hovering around 1 to 4 million per song.

I'm happy with 2 or 3 per album from last 15 years.

I am too, but it's quite sad when you think about it. 15+ years ago, not only did we have solid albums (granted, with some fillers) but plenty of b-sides and demos - always asking ouserlves why some of those were not on the albums - there was a lot of good material.

There were some good songs on THINFS, a lot actually - I think partly because Jon had something to prove with a first album without Richie.

Now after 3 albums with this version of the band, it seems like paterns, safety and lack of inspiration are tacking over.

But indeed, let's hear the full thing befor epassing judgements.

If you're insinuating THINFS was recieved positively around here on release, don't know if I agree haha. This is a case of "it was better when...." when back when it was "man remember the Bounce days?" and hoo boy was that not taken well either.

Yeah it's also a question of time indeed, leaving some pass by so that the new material find its place in the discography - hoping that our expectations are not being watered down with each new addition. The great run for me was from SWW up until Crush. After that, we entered IMO a more formulaic. So a lot of albums now, with only a few gems here and there.

Even with Crush it was a downward trend. If it wasn’t for Its My Life that album would have been the end of the band. No other memorable songs whatsoever (IMO) and certainly no other songs with hit potential.

How about "One Wild Night"? ( not a hit, but a good song)

I don't think it would be the end if "Crush" wasn't successfull, JBJ would just have kept making Albums till one succeeded or song(s)....

Also I don't think its the "end of the band", but I agree with general sentiment. Crush, except for IML, was such a missed album with passe sounds of previous years. IML catapulted them back into global icon stratosphere but also into boy band young teens preference. Without it, I presume Jovi would become something as a 2nd tier arena band, perhaps like Def Leppard or something.

EDIT: When I say missed, I mean commercialy mostly. There are some songs that I personally really like, and also others that have been really down on quality relative to previous material. But disregarding that, to even think about putting Say It Isn't So as 1st single is mind-altering in 2000. And it's not like it's a bad song, I dig it, but it has zero mass appeal in that landscape
