I think it'll sound better live in respect to the talkbox - the problem is it's a very clipped phrase so you get a clear gap between vocal and guitar, whereas if it was a bit more fluid it would sound better. Agreed on the pre-chorus though so much potential but just falls a bit flat. I can hear harmonies that definitely aren't there.

Really weak vocals? Sounds better then he did on 2020. I think expecting JBJ to reach good vocals since his vocal operation is naive, wait till the next Album to see if he's recovered some oomph behind his vocals, or judge JBJ on American Idol on Sunday if he peforms it, too early for me to judge him based on 1 or 2 live performances.....

Surely, you can't say the vocals what you heard are like 2020? he's made some improvement....Not what perhaps you were hoping for.....

Don't know if I got everything right, but here are the lirycs:

Living Proof (FOREVER, 2024)

Does the sun still shines on a dead-end street
Will the rose still grow on the broken concret
Is there anything left for us in our life, may...

I'm tired of talking about someday
All that we've been given are the dog days
Nothing is forgiven it's the hard way
Right or wrong
I'm tired of talking about somehow
We can bear these weapons until you breakdown
These family tree's got nothing left to prove now
Me and you
We are the living proof

Close your eyes and tell me what you think you see
Is faith and hope enough to make a fool believe
Is there anything left for us in our life, may...

I'm tired of talking about someday
All that we've been given are the dog days
Nothing is forgiven it's the hard way
Right or wrong
I'm tired of talking about somehow
We can bear these weapons until you breakdown
These family tree's got nothing left to prove now
Me and you
We are the living proof

First the son becomes the father, then the father is the son
It's a never-ending circle and the circle is never done
This love will last forever when our footprint is in sand
It's time you understand

I'm tired of talking about someday
All that we've been given are the dog days
Nothing is forgiven it's the hard way
Right or wrong
I'm tired of talking about somehow
We can bear these weapons until you breakdown
These family tree's got nothing left to prove now
Me and you
We are the living proof

You know how I said the verses of HAND and this are eerily similar?

"Will the rose still grow on the broken concret"

HAND previously had the lyrics of "Who are you to tell me where a flower grows".

That's kinda funny.

Yeah, and also "Close your eyes and tell me what you think you see" reminded me of Complicated "Sometimes you gotta close your eyes to see".

Cool nods.

Something that's got my attention is the structure of this song. Only 4 verses, 2 pre-chorus and a big chorus 3 times. Not saying it was bad call, it does worked IMO.

HAND also had "Take a look around you, nothing's what it seems". Absolutely has Jon and John's writing style all over it.

Also the dead-end street line is similar to HAND: "I knocked on every door and every dead-end street".

Good effort - it's definitely Will the rose still grow out of broken concrete in the first verse and the prechorus is Is there anything left for a sinner like me I'm not sure about the second part of the chorus. I think it's maybe something like We could play this way/right until you break down
