OKAY. I have, in shit shit quality but listenable, up until the bridge after the solo. It's definetely a telecaster-y number. Not as hard rock as I had been told but it's nice. Lyrics I remember were something like "hit the breaks, I'm on my way" and a mention of a "plastic dashboard jesus"

Now to just find a way to get the speaker phone on my cell to work with voice memos. I'll do what I can to type up the lyrics that I can make out.

And yes. Yes I saw the movie just for the song. Colour me obsessed, I don't care.

Matt, I saw the movie too for the same reason. I actually thought the movie was pretty funny. I agree with the song assessment. I was expecting it to be a little harder based on reviews from the Hard Rock event, but yea, I liked what I heard. I couldn't hear it real good as our theater was packed and people were talking loud as it was playing. It has a "hey hey" part in it as well right? I also thought I heard slide guitar.

I don't recall any "Hey hey" But I don't remember any more actual lyrics. There was "say goodbye to yesterdays" I think. I've got the melody engraved in my skull. If I had to compare it to one single song, I'd say....Destination Anywhere.

Yep, Destination Anywhere would be a good comparison for sure. I liked it. At the fanclub event, last night Matt still called the record, "Nashville Sessions" so, who the heck knows what the title of this cd is, lol!

GOD this recording is rough but I think I hear "He's got the car, he's got the keys, farewell to mediocrity" wow. I love that line.

Went and saw it today. Pretty funny movie. Loved the bit when Wanted was played and Travolta was cutting gas lines! Lost Highway is actually a pretty damn good song. I remember the Hey Hey part. It comes right after the chorus. Richie throws a pretty good solo in there as well. It's a pretty good rocker that goes right along with Who Says IMO. I'm REALLY excited for this record with all of this stuff I've heard.

does anybody remember if there is anything else going on soundtrackwise during the Lost Highways part of the credits?
I am thinking of taking my DAT rig to get a decent recording on a weekday with no crowd, just wondering if it will be worth doing?

I don't remember anything playing but the song. There's a Ty Pennington spoof before Lost Highways starts, but that only lasts while the main credits run. When Bon Jovi starts, they're all you hear.

Becky is correct. It's the Ty thing, then the Bon Jovi song and that is it.

I highly encourage your plans, good sir I'm still trying to get it off my phone. I have the tail end of they Ty part and then up until after the bridge. I wish I knew how to get it off.
