Itīs quite catchy and has a nice feeling over it. I prefer this song so much to crap like I Love This Town. I hope itīs on the album.

I like it. They clearly didn't throw too much country into it, but there's enough that I could hear it on a country radio station and not think, "What is this doing here?" Ah, I don't think it'll be a hit if it becomes a single, though.

My only real beef is how simple and, well, boring the drumming is. That was one of my complaints about the Have A Nice Day album too. Tico's part just sounds so thrown in at the last moment.

I love the song, love the feel of the lyrics, and think that it could definitely be a hit on country radio. It would fit right in.

what is this in the verses? a banjo? it sounds like it's there to make the song country, doesn't fit. overall the song is a cliched mediocrity with a country twist
i like the solo and the bridge though

ok, sounds to me like Someday I'll Be Saturday Night meets Who Says You Can't Go Home and takes bits of Everyday as well. The solo is kick ass though.

The rest: "MEDIOCRITY". Same "live my life" song written in a different way. BOOOORING! Good to hear that Richie can still play guitar. That's the only positive thing about it.

Yeah I got the Everyday feeling quite strongly from these lyrics too.

"Said goodbye to yesterday
Hit the gas, there ain't no brakes on this lost highway"

Thematically it's the same. My past was really tough but I'm moving on now and my life will be wonderful forever more.

I personally don't mind them using the same theme again and again as long as they put a good spin on it and create a great song. This has a different feel for sure, but it ain't a great song.

Also, am I the only one who really doesn't like Jon's vocals on this song or the way he sings it? It just doesn't feel right at all to me.

Good, I thought I was the only one for awhile. I get that feeling of the song being upbeat and somewhat loud, but his vocals seem too quiet. Kinda reminds me of Last Man Standing for some reason.

I like it, it has a country twang about it but its still catchy and rockish with Richies rift.

Its late and its been a long day but when I am listening to it it reminds me of destination.... I will listen again tomorrow see if it feels the same.

as I had to search back pages to find a link to the song I will put the link here for those joining the end of the thread.
