If quality is describable only with terms as good and bad, then quality is equal to preferences and in that case quality would vary from person to person.

There are quality standards such as ISO 9001 (which of course can't be used on music!) but even those can't put aside people’s preferences, since quality is something that we as individuals “feel” about a product or something similar. Overall one could state that we as consumers do agree about quality, but when it comes to something so closely linked to pure feelings such as music, quality can differ widely from person to person.
First of all, ISO 9001 has got more to do with safety during the production process than any other quality standard on the product itself next to the materials used/

This is such a returning issue then it will never be something we all agree on.
Quality cannnot differ from person to person, that is taste. IMO your confusing taste and quality, or at least saying it's the same.
Quality is a given thing, factual, altough not always reconigzable.

Uuh dude, where have you been lately?

And the above quote is true while a new record is coming out and is open for discussion...

Perhaps you are right.

If taste and quality is separated as you and a few others have stated above, the aspect of quality shouldn't be considered as such an important thing, at least not to me.

So you mean that the quality is something that isn't experienced by the user of the product?

If that's the case, who actually sets the level of quality? The producer? The consumers? some independent institute?

good one, like I said sometimes it isn't recognizable. But IMO that isn't the case with TD vs Bounce.... it's clear there, arrangement, lyrics without letting taste interfer.
That is possible while being objective.

We all know dry county is the quality superior song over Saturday Night, I agree with that altough I prefer Saturday Night - but that is personal

I've had this argument before, and it's not worth having again. It's quite obvious the same people keep bashing the albums over and over again. It's tiring and played out.

yes I can see that, but it's not relevant here. Bounce is just used as an example, hence I said several times people can prefer to bounce instead of these days, i even can understand plus i dont çare

same people who are constantly bashing bounce are most likely praising other albums

Blame me. I asked a question (that still hasn't been answered) that rolled into this utterly pointless discussion. But, hey, why not go all hypocritical and throw in my two cents. I'll just say that our tastes determine what we consider as "good", thereby influence our definition of "quality". After all, the quality of something is usually how good it is, right?

Whatever the case, it's all opinion. In your opinion, These Days is better than Bounce (as those seem to be popular choices to use), but there's no way to actually say that as fact because there's no proof, which means this entire argument is pointless.
