ok let's move on about the quality war ... I am wondering one thing about this new song lost highway

it seems that there is NO soundtrack for WILD HOGS so it means the song will be on the jovi cd coming ? or is it possible that this song never ends up on any form of cd at all ? at first when i heard it was making the movie soundtrack for me it's was obvious the song was OFF the cd now but as there is probably no soundtrack then the song will be on the cd ?

but if I read that post from Dave about that phone call .. jovi realm or something like that .. he didn"'t mention any lost highway song ?

I'm curious too. I know Dave mentioned a song sounding a bit Keith Urbanish, I wonder if that was it. I know he said he didn't hear Lost Highway in the lyrics though.

that's right he said that ....but don't you think you cannot miss the LOST HIGWAY words in the lyrics ... Gloria from backstage knew she was listening to lost highway without having to read the credits

anyway I was thinking that if there is no soundtrack then the song should be on some jovi cd -though I admit I was sure of the opposite at first (this is usually what happens for a song made for a movie ) we have to wait and see once again

i'd really love some info from bon jovi management or bj.com or anything official .. like the title of the cd the release date and what about lost highway when a single and so on and on... tons of questions without an answer

Oh yea, I agree, it's hard to miss the words lost highway. And yes, it would be nice to get some thing official. I wonder if they are holding off because the record is just now being finalized (I'm assuming with Jon in London for mixing).

I like this song a lot. Sure the lyrics are cliched, but i've heard a lot worse, and it's sung with such conviction, it works. Jon actually sounds sincere on this track. Unlike recent output such as Complicated etc.

The country trimmings are more than bearable, and there's a certain urgency to the track that has been missing recently.

Best thing the band have done in a few years imo.

(Still not sure sure about 'mam' and 'love this town' though..)

I really like this song. After listening to it for the last few days, I've finally noticed a few things. The sound is almost EXACTLY like the sound used throughout HAND, the guitarwork, simple drumming, acoustic guitar over everything, etc. I'm wondering if it's just because John Shanks co-wrote as well, or if the band has found a new consistant sound they want to continue using (re: SWW to NJ). None of the newer albums have been consistant soundwise with each other, and I wonder if Lost Highway will break that trend. I hope so, I love the new sound.

To me, that's always been John Shank's "touch" as a producer. Layering the acoustic and electric for a thicker sound. He tends to do that with other artists as well, I personally love it.

Pretty much, maybe not OWN, but I'd have to agree regardless.

What? Not a chance. Are you seriously saying this is better the Undivided, Just Older, Two Story Town, The Distance, Hook Me Up and Bounce to name just a few. It's pretty much on a par with the dregs of those albums, stuff like Save The World, I Got The Girl and All About Loving You.
