Country radio is much slower going through singles then top 40 radio is. That's why the duet of Who Says was released a good month before the rock version.

Also, in country radio, a ballad as the first single isn't too unusual. I actually think MAM has the potential to do well but we'll see.

I'm going to go to the Today Show as well. Just a word of caution. There is a VIP section that is in front of the stage, so even if you are the first person waiting out, you will be behind that VIP area which is pretty big.

Just looked through the BJ.com archives, HAND was released to radio on the 18th July, so yeah, a good couple of months before both the single and album release
