Default New Bon Jovi Album: This House Is Not For Sale (2016)

Ok, since no one started this thread yet, I thought I'd give it a go, based on this:

What d'you make of it ?

I don't mean to start talking about Richie on yet another thread but I guess if he's to return anytime soon, late 2016 would make more sense. Also, security at the studio's doors ?

Is Jon trying to keep people from hearing anything or perhaps from letting anyone know Richie's there as well ? D'you reckon they built a secret tunnel so that Richie sneaks in without anyone seeing him ? just kidding.

And what about this 'back to roots' thing ? Whenever a band/artists says such thing, it usually means the complete opposite when you listen to it.

I don't buy it. The idea of there being any kind of fervor, enough for Jon to hire security to so no one gets into the studio is laughable on its own. Reviews for pretty much very album since 2000, bar Lost Higwhay, have used the words "Back to their roots" "back to the rock sound" over and over and this just comes across as no substantial info and just pieced together from other news sources over the last year.

Reading that back it makes me sound very negative, I just don't see any truth to this, there's just too many holes.

The only reason for Jon to hire security so no one hears anything is to hide his vocals prior to production touch ups. Even at that, I don't see there being any truth to this. The other info is just pieced together from various news reports over the past year or so, something anyone could do with just a google search. Jon said on that Philly radio interview that he was writing, that 2015 would be all about writing and recording to release something next year. Even before the tour was over they both said that they were writing each other, and that there was no negativity blah blah blah.

I actually think it is good! If they take their time and focus on the right things and don't overproduce it, I think they still have it in them to put out a decent album.

They? Who are they? It's the JBJ show and has been for years.

Jon can't sing anymore and Richie has gone. So what we'll get is another WAN as an excuse to go out on tour which is where the real money is at. This tour might have a bigger stage though, to cover up for the lack of energy and soul on show. Jon might even wheel out the KOS to plug Richie's gap which will be both tragic and hilarious.

So yeah, bring on the new album!!!

I saw this in my news feed yesterday and didn't even think it was credible enough to share it. I just don't buy it at this point.

I think that's too negative. If they take more time actually developing songs, it will be better than WAN. The last tour wasn't good but there were still some good shows. The show in Cologne was quite awesome. Not the best show ever but among my top shows.

the entire article is most likely 100% B.S. but hey, it's the first sign of something on the horizon.. it always starts with the B.S. news first.

Anyways, 'back to roots' is lame for sure. What would that mean in the case of BJ ? Songs that resemble 'Roulette' and 'Shot Through The Heart' ? Well... considering the whole 80's revivalism by artists such as Taylor Swift (in a mainstream kind of way), that wouldn't be completely impossible, although I'm sure they'd sound ridiculous doing so.

Doesn't JBJ have a studio in his own house? He can track demos there, so while there might be security, I doubt it's for the studio in particular.

Since I don't see the band booking a professional studio for one year (that shit is expensive!), I don't really see why they should already be in a "proper" studio.
