mmm... if those 12 songs are just a rehash of his older hits in 12 volumes I'll pass! I don't want or need to hear an umpteenth version of Life or Prayer or Wanted, no, thanks! If the song he co-wrote with the kid at the fashion show of Feb. 12th is any indication of the new material I fear the worst...

I think it'll be a JBJ album with the KoS and it'll be country-oriented like LH. Bets are open!

Just a thought about his being seen in Nashville with Dave Stewart a few days ago: Stewart has offices in town and the two may have met for this event, not because they intend to work on Jon's next album:

Yes. Which he probably read about in the paper.

There is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

I think a song like "Working Man" is the wrong way! It's too simple of a song. Jon just slapped down lyrics with that horrible chorus and added a bunch of production. That chorus, Workin Meeeeenananan is absolute shit. And then they add the LOAP intro to the production to try and boost the song. That song should be blown up.

I don't care where Jon gets his inspiration from as long as there are clever lyrics and catch hooks with a proper deliver!

We are all expecting something different and out of the box but I'm not getting my hopes up at all for this one.

Right, exactly my point. If it's early enough in the process most of those 12 probably won't make the album meaning he's getting the first nature songs out of his system and digging a little bit more.

Although I could appreciate your hopeful optimism, I'm not getting that same vibe.

I'm feeling a very singer / songwriter type of album this round. Very Dylan style. I think Jon will write 15 and we'll get 12 and then he'll just try and perfect those 12.

I hope he writes a song about Zombie Cat. I mean, what could be more timely and relevant than ZOMBIE... CAT?!?!?!

There is No Way the KOS will be his studio band on this new album. No Way! I'd be in complete shock if that happened. Until we know what type of album Jon is doing, it's hard to determine who his guitar player will be. It could be Shank, Dave Stewart, Bobby, Phil, A Hired Professional, or a big name like Jeff Beck.

I'm curious to see what name the album gets released under. Jon is writing all the songs himself however I have a feeling that Tico and Dave will play on it and tour it. Jon could still do a Bon Jovi tour and promote his solo album in the mix of it all. It's going to be interesting to see how they do this.

FYI, Bobby B. has been Jon's bloodbrother/friend/mentor/idol/whateveryouwannacallit since 1991 (Bobby's not always credited on albums covers). I betcha the $1 million that I don't have that he's heavily involved in Jon's next album. As for the KoS, they have been assembled by Bobby who's the go-to musician that NJ celebrities call whenever they need a back-up band because Bobby literally knows everybody!

If the next album is Jon's new solo effort and some sort of LH II, I'm pretty sure that Jon will use some of the KoS + a couple of big names for good measure. Not sure T. and David will be around. Hugh most probably will though.

Just my 2 cts.
