I admit, some of the songs that he's written lately just aren't my cup of tea, but just because I don't like them doesn't mean it's not coming from a sincere and genuine place. I'm not into political statements, but those are the things that move him now, if he wanted to just please the fans he would try to make a record as close to Slippery as he vocally could. Making this record without Richie, continuing to tour, changing record labels, keeping his hair gray, not being overly bothered about keeping his persona "rock 'n' roll". I think this is the coolest I've found the guy in a long time. Some of you just need to admit to yourselves that even though they are a huge part of your lives Jon and the band just don't do it for you anymore. Either that or it's suddenly cool to tear apart every aspect, change and growth from someone.....

Very well said. The only people I know who have a problem with Jon's latest look are the people who post on this board. When I talk to people in real life, like yesterday, casually talking to a coworker who has no emotional investment in the band, she said Jon's look had changed but it worked so well for him and "he wasn't hurtin' for it." She said he still looked as handsome as he ever did and we talked about how unfair it is that men can go gray and be called "silver foxes" while we as women have to fight the never ending battle dying our hair.
Jon's latest style is really irrelevant to me. I care what his voice sounds like and what the songs he writes are going to be like. However, I think it would be ridiculous for him to be wearing leopard print leather and singing about chasing after young girls at this stage of his life.
