Get an artificial knee joint (or two) and that problem will be solved within a few weeks. I've seen relatives get those and they were back in form and doing sports without pain afterwards.

The problem is the trust in his voice and this can't be fixed that easy since you can't just repair that.

Yeah, during certain very easy songs Jon was very mobile on the 2015 tour, e.g. Sleep When I'm Dead, Water

He's glued to the mic when he has to focus on singing 'higher' notes. He's always done that, it's just that nowadays almost everything is high so he barely moves.

So yes, his legs are not the problem.

Given that Jon used the soldier image a lot for WAN and that about every fifth track nowadays has some line along "get on/off your knees" it might have more to do with it than you'd expect

Touché

He might have some problems with his knees. But that's not the reason why he doesn't perform anymore (instead of just trying to sing).
It's a lack of passion caused by a insecurity.
He is too afraid too fail, too scared that people might not like what he's doing. That's because most of the new songs are gone after a couple of shows even if the fanbase considers them being good or at least decent ones.

Since they're back to their old label I doubt we'll see much of a change.

Phil looks to be either recording with the band or rehearsing. Hopefully it's the latter...

PS. I love seeing pics of their setup! Wish we could see more of Richie's live and recording set ups as well as Bobby's and Jon's....

I'd agree but think it's in the studio - Phil tweeted Monday he was off to NYC to make music. May do both hopefully but Tico was still in Germany, I think a pic Sunday.

God Bless This Mess, indeed. Words cannot express how much I hate this title and how disappointed I am that after all the hype we’re back to square one, but I’m not here to rant because the truth is I DON’T CARE. I’ve only liked one single in twenty years (Memory). ONE FREAKING SINGLE IN 20 YRS. My bar is so low I can’t see it anymore. I know the new single won’t make me hate or dismiss the new record like it did in the past, Jon is hopeless when it comes to making/choosing the first single (he can bitch about the label's involvement as much as he wants, but I doubt they made them write Everyday, or HAND, or Follow, or…) and he has to cater to the casuals and the radio stations so I finally accepted that. I’m expecting a cross between “What’s Left of Me” and “The More Things Change” *shudders*

Being excited in the past only led to disappointment. I’ve switched from being very very optimistic about THINFS to more cautious to pretty indifferent but strangely excited at the same time. If it’s another WAN, so be it, we have BB which is what I’ve wanted since Crush. Not the whole album, of course, but a confirmation at last that the lyrics and the passion are still there. I’ve come to terms with what to expect from this band. Album wise they don’t have anything else to say and I’m perfectly fine with that. This won’t be another KTF or another Crush; being the no.1 tour for the past years almost guarantees that Jon won’t care about this new album’s sales. Which should really translate in an “artistic” album but won’t. We all know this band (ie Jon) doesn’t take risks anymore. I’d rather they concentrate in getting ready for a memorable tour FINALLY. They will drop the new songs after the first leg anyway, whether they are the best thing since the 90s or more WAN-style crap. We’ll get another Greatest Hits + LH tour, let’s face it, it has worked very well for them so why change now? Again, I’d rather have a great tour where Jon shows passion. I know we can’t have both, unfortunately (good album and good tour). Jon’s far too detached from his day job and has been for a very long time.

BTW, why do so many people think that the single is going to be an angry song? Or related to the label departure? We already had the angry-defiant songs (WDR&BB) and the serious ballad (Teardrop). They won’t beat that dead horse again, specially since
- They’re back with the label (I still can’t believe it… oh well…)
- The name of the single was announced AFTER confirming being back with the label so if they did have another angrier single it was probably discarded to “bury the hatchet”
- Jon’s new motto since TC is the dreaded “power of we” (Follow, BWC) which in my book is even worse than “life your life, stand your ground, bla bla” but it’s here to stay… The title of the new single, all that has happened, the reconciliation with the label, all points to another uplifting “the power of we is stronger than we think, we made it through it all thanks to you and me” (I may have a chorus here lol)

So yeah, the last thing I expect with THAT title is a rocker and I’m really surprised anyone would think otherwise in 2016 after the last albums/singles. Truly curious, not criticizing really
