I hadn't heard this. This is pretty neat news. Where did you see this?

Hugh was also spotted with Richie recently so he might be working on his album too.

To get back on subject here, Jon stated in his most recent interview 'The Band' so I'm taking it as Bon Jovi album and not a solo one.
But the KOS is NOT a band with set members. Hugh can come and go, people aren't going to care because it's not a band with a set group of fans. It's mainly corporate gigs and fan club shows, Jon doesn't need to put out a press release every time he makes a decision to let everyone know what's up. Facts of the matter is Hugh has been spending more time doing other things instead of playing with Jon and Jon denying him gigs simply to give him a break when he didn't do the same every other time the band was on a break doesn't line up because Hugh's not in the band, his work load is completely different.

Back on topic with Richie and Hugh, they were together because Richie guested at a gig for Hugh's step-son. There's not much else to confirm he'll be working with Richie. A friend of min ran into Hugh in Vegas after a Vault show and asked about the Richie situation. He basically said he hopes Richie finds his way soon because he's not himself right now, so take that for whatever it means. I don't like saying things without any proof or source but for the sake of this, he ain't his bass player right now.

Time will tell in this matter but I just see this time off as any other time off. It's an opportunity for band members to do whatever side projects they choose outside the band. The KOS are Bobby's guys. Hugh is too experienced to play with them.

Right but Hugh's not a band member. He's a session musician, pretty much the exact type of band member for this type of project. He doesn't appear in the photos, most of the music videos, the song writing, the band meetings. He plays songs and this band does nothing but. The band went on break between These Days and Crush, who was the bass player? Jon did one offs and fan club shows between tours in between tour legs, who was the bass player? Im not saying it's as cut and dry as Hugh says he's never working with Jon again, I'm saying he's choosing to do other things and this isn't a recent development, it's just slowly happened because he's got a new family and doesn't NEED to be Jon's guy anymore.

Meh, we're way off topic here. I'd assume he'll be there when it's time for the next album/touring cycle.

You don't like to click on the links I provide, eh? OK then, I did it for you, lazybones!

Although he admits to feeling a little overlooked by the bigger record companies, he says he loves what he does.

''I have a doctor friend who has the big house and the pool in the backyard overlooking the bay and he tells me he would do anything to change places with me because he hates what he is doing,'' Mr. Bandiera, who grew up in Orange and lives in Brick Township, said in a recent interview after returning from a European tour in which Southside Johnny opened for Bon Jovi.

On that tour he was able to trade the tour bus and the ''half star'' hotels for the private jet and the Ritz-Carlton only because he was traveling with Bon Jovi.

Do you think that Jon shares his private jet and hotel suites with people who are "just business related" ?!

And I'll add another one:
Quote:
"It is very satisfying," Bandiera said. "If I'm moving stuff in the house and I'm finding pictures, I think to myself, 'Oh my God.' I was in Jon's (Bon Jovi) house about two months ago and I look up on the mantle piece and there's a picture there of us at the studio in his house before this one, in Rumson. And I think to myself, 'My God, it's 20 years ago.' I said, 'Jon, we're getting old.' He said, 'Bob, we are old."

FYI, Jon called Phil "my brother" during the last tour, let's bet he'll upgrade him to "my bloodbrother" during the next tour if Phil does it.

If Hugh was working on Richie's album, Richie would have mentioned it. But he didn't, he posted a photo of his current band who are studio musicians (Denmad posted the list in the other thread):

Richie Sambora (vocals & guitars)
Orianthi (guitars & vocals)
Michael Bearden (keyboards, Hammond B3)
Darryl Jones (bass)
Will Calhoun (drums & percussion)

Darryl Jones is a member of The Rolling Stones band since 1993.
Will Calhoun is a member of Living Colour.

Newspapers don't say the same thing about the next BJ album:

There were no details on who he's writing with or whether the new record is a Bon Jovi or a Jon Bon Jovi solo record. His representative did not return a call for comment.

Working on new music

Jon Bon Jovi also disclosed that he and his band are working on a new music and an upcoming album.

He said prior to the fashion week event, he and his band were spending most of their time in the studio working on a new record. He even said that he just walked to the event from the studio that day.

The musician says he draws inspiration from the daily events happening around him for the new record that he is working on. Jon says that after reading the newspaper, he gets ideas and some opportunities to write something.

He also disclosed that while their band’s new album is still at its early stages, there is already a dozen songs in it and he feels good for every composition thus far.

Jon and the Band between These Days and Crush is not the same Jon and Band we have today so it's not even worth comparing anything back to that time period.

I forgot where we are even going with this whole thing but IMO there are no indications to me that Hugh is out. Official Member or Not, the core band contributors are on a break and Jon is using Bobby's band just like he's done in the past. Look at the Starland Fanclub show from Feb 23rd 2009. No Hugh.

Open the link to the video. It's a clear shot of some dude standing there with 4 strings.

Your links don't prove anything.

In regards to your big breakthrough above in red.... That doesn't prove shit!

All he is saying is that with SSJ he takes a tour bus and with Jon, he's flying private. If you knew anything about this band, you'd know that Jon flies all his band members private when on tour. All members!!!!! Including Hugh, Dave, Tico, Phil, Bobby, etc. What do you think, it's just Jon and Bobby up there while Richie, Dave, and Tico drive behind in a van. Come on dude, common sense.

And with the other comment. Jon's studio is at his house. That's were Jon's pictures are of his band mates. Not in his livingroom.. There is probably a live shot of Jon with Bobby in the background from the DA tour or something.

No? You don't tell me! Breaking news!
If only you could realize how stupid you're being!
BTW, (they) "drive behind in a van.": you mean they'd be driving behind... a plane? A flying plane? Oh please stop it, you're killing me!

Hugh was playing with his stepson so maybe he's helping him launch his music career and concentrating on that while being Vegas based and earning some cash on the side ain't so bad either. My guess is maybe Jon called for the corporate event and Hugh was busy so Bobby called someone else. I don't think it's anything bigger than, the dude actually had a schedule now before Jon made his....
