I agree. But some fans are living in the past still. I don't mean on here but look at comments to this new single on Facebook.

There is a little chatter on social media about the red X - and I kind of think it may be a subtle way to build up what is new for the band. It does Not mean they are putting down RS - just this is now. Didn't PhilX just get a new red X tatoo?

I wonder if those who said they would not hit the little tease seconds have stayed strong? I knew me better than that - the second I saw the feed I hit play.

When I heard "I set each stone" I thought it's like the 1st line of New Divide (Linkin Park) "I remembered black skies" ...

I meant re/the guitar which is a fvcking FRAMUS gtr, not an SG, it doesn't even look like one. No matter how many times I write it's a fvcking FRAMUS + link to Phil's IG, nobody wants to believe it! Too funny!


He explained his tattoos are the names of his kids (his wife had a kid before they met so he now has 3). He's got a black X for his son Xavier and the red star is for Scarlett. No new red X tattoo as far as I know.

1º Jon said back to the roots, well, this advance is not a return to the roots.

2º I did not expect a SWW or These Days, but neither did expect this thing with generic sound that could be a Roman song.

3º For some fans always put as an excuse to some critics, this nonsense about "What do you expect? A SWW, NJ, KTF and TD?" no, no, man, I did not say that.

4º Just expecting something more punchy, something better than We Dont Run. I'm not asking the sky, just something worthwhile and be exciting.

5º This is pop / rock as the last albums. Not Bad, but not great.

You're judging the entire album on the vibe you're getting from ten seconds of the lead single, which is always the most commercial side of the whole thing. You're a broken record and absolutely asking for the sky. Jon didn't say the first single was a return to roots, he said the whole album was. And the lines the promo team has used for each album has been similar and people have hated it then too. People should unplug themselves from the promo machine and listen to it for themselves instead of waiting for the band to fail so they can call Jon a liar.

Not so, I'm just saying that gives the impression that it will not be very different from their latest releases.
