Someone mentioned Bruce Springsteen because of the guitar sound in the intro + solo, it also makes me think of this song by Little Steven:


And I'm not saying the songs sound alike, just the gtr sound and attack do.

I don't mind it. The guitars seem more dynamic than they have for a while. Generic for sure, but a little more ambitious than recent output. I could give or take the chorus. I don't think it has the potential to be a breakout success, but that's Ok at this stage in their lives.

Also, Jon's voice still seems weak to me, in fact I would go as far as to say he detracts from the song. Once again, a Jon with a good voice would make this song very good, which is how I felt about much of WAN.

It gives me hope for a rockier record. I wonder if the album will have a lot of guitar work to prove a point. Hopefully because it would then be more like the rock record I want.

So, totally different from what I was expecting. I need to hear more, but it's a good song. And you can hear clearly the guitar on it. It's already an advance. The solo is good, but too generic. But it's a good single.
