New Bon Jovi album update....

That any tour has ever been better than the Crossroad/These Days-tour in 95/96 is a statement bordering on delusional.

I didn't say it had. You're right, 95/96 was exceptional tour wise. But generally post 2000 (which is since the These Days tour) albums have got poorer but touring has got better.

They have composed 43 songs, three songs will be included in movies, we know two, runaway and old habits, still need to know the 3. They have also worked for other artists, two big and rich songs and a duet with Alicia Keys. From what I have understood, also collaborated on some songs for a possible album of Billy Falcon, 2 songs I think.

Here comes the bomb, the new Bon Jovi album could be a double album, or else two albums in different volumes. If you finally are in volumes, the first will be released in 2013 and the second album for 2014.

The double album would consist of one Full Acoustic CD and other full Electric CD. In case sold separately, may vary the selection of songs and end up being a mixture for electric and acoustic.

-5 songs for others artists. (there may be more songs for Artists that do not know)

-24 songs for New BJ Album. (12 electric, 12 acoustic)

*32 songs is the aproximate number.

The other 11 songs could end up as b-side, outtakes, bonus tracks or who knows, may never come to light as many other songs of Bon Jovi.

Didn't they pen over 40 songs for Crush? That still ended up being a single album, with a fair few b-sides on singles and on the boxset.

I won't believe any rumours or think about it too much - I'm happy just to wait for an official press release from the band on it, then I'll be more interested.

I think it will be 1 single album. If first single will be as much succesful as It's My Life we will have in 2014/15 another studio album.
They wanted realise studio album in 2001 but Jon said it was too early after Crush. I think this time they would realise album year after year. They don't have as much time as when they realise Crush. Music industry is changeing really fast.
Green Day is realising trilogy albums this year and next year. Why Bon Jovi can't do that ;P

Because Bon Jovi are barely capable of filling 1 album with at least 3 decent songs, let alone putting 3 discs together of songs worth listening to. There's no way Bon Jovi will relesae 2 albums in 2 years, Jon needs to convince himself that he's touring to promote the new record and make money while touring and you don't make money when you're off the road.

I think Bon Jovi will do another Box Set in a couple years for their 30th anniversary.

I actually forgot about the Alicia Keys song. Maybe it will be on the album. Does anyone know what came out of that session?
