I'm listening to them now on Spotify. Pretty rubbish.

Fairytale of New York is really bad. He completely mispronounces 'Galway' and I see he also put his PC hat on and changed faggot to braggart.

I don't know why lyrics are changed the lyrical content of faggot in this song is in term of the horrible meatball type of food. Not a gay slur.

It’s getting pulled to shreads on Twitter because it’s such a popular song. Even the producer of the original is putting the boot in!

This isn't even a JBJ issue, a LOT of stations either don't play it or censor it. Obviously the word has a different connotation but it's not one that has made it across to America.

Jon deserves to be slated for what he did to this song. Fairytale of New York is one of the most iconic Christmas songs of all time, and he removed everything that makes it so brilliant. Who is Jon to change somebody else's lyrics like this? As Jon always likes to say, this song has become everybody's song, and he's messing with people's art.

Was it CeeLo Green who a few years ago released a cover of Imagine and removed/changed the lines about no heaven and no religion because he is a religious nut? Art is not something you mess around with to be PC. It's like covering up a naked statue. People who do these things should be reviled. Moreover, Jon is supposed to be a rock star. He's the last person who should be bowing to PC culture.

What Jon are you talking about? He couldn't even say the F word in 2002. Rock Star Jon went bye-bye in the 90s's, maybe even the 80's.

Again: JBJ, a symbol of authentic, edgy and daring art. He never compromised to get more airplay or sales, never worked with trendy producers or songwriters, never made changes to appeal to the masses.
