I think to a certain extent it's alright. He and the band did a lot of work to have that kind of career, so it'd be naive - or more positive: too romantic - to think they could/should/would spend some of their own money to give something back.
But it would be an easy move to give the fans something they are excited about without charging ridiculous amounts of money. I hate the Springsteen-comparison but since I do like his stuff as well, he's always the first that comes in mind: He releases live shows as downloads and charges I think about 10 $ each show or something in that category. And most of those recordings come from the front of house, so there isn't a lot of work to be done. Maybe he makes some profit out of it maybe it just covers the costs.
That's what I don't get, why the Jovi-camp isn't able to offer something like this. Maybe the Experience stuff somehow takes that direction, we don't know yet - but still, you first have to pay an annual subscription first, which keeps quite a lot from subscribing which - in my book - makes the Experience digging its own grave before even getting started. I don't think it will continue in 2022.
