Dicanio is dead on, these ain't Jon's favourite things. I imagine a lot joined to get the things Jon likes and to feel like they share common interests. This is just chintzy merch.

Totally agree. When they announced the boxes I thought they were gonna send out stuff like copies of Jon’s favorite albums or books or something along those lines, which seemed pretty cool and interesting to me.
Fortunately, the high shipping costs turned me away from the gold membership, but I can imagine that a lot of people expected the boxes to contain similar stuff as I did and that’s why they signed up for them.
