I'd be really suprised if they re-did the whole albums as duets, I think that would be overkill. I can see a deluxe edition of the current version of the album with 4 or 5 duet versions as bonus tracks.

Oh if anyone is screaming from the rooftops "it doesn't matter what they release it's going to fail" it's your old pal Cap

I'm just saying if they're doing duets of songs on the album I can see him doing that. Maybe Sheeran on Living in Paradise but I don't really buy this rumour being fully true.

The band haven't released back-to-back studio albums since the first three albums. They just don't do it... unless they are trying to spit something out to please a record company (hello paper bag Burning Bridges).

A reissue is more likely. If it's a reissue with duets then I'd like it to be with artists I actually know. I don't think I've ever listened to The War and Treaty version of People's House. I have no interest.

I'm definitely open to a duet's version, as I think it could lift some of the songs to a level Jon's voice cannot. Something like the following would get me excited...

01. Legendary feat. The Script
02. We Made it Look Easy feat. Bruno Mars
03. Living Proof feat. Def Leppard
04. Waves feat. Imagine Dragons
05. Seeds feat. Bruce Springsteen
06. Kiss the Bride feat. Shania Twain
07. The People's House feat. Sia
08. Walls of Jericho feat. Bryan Adams
09. I Wrote You A Song feat. Adele
10. Living in Paradise feat. Coldplay
11. My First Guitar feat. Steven Tyler
12. Hollow Man feat. One Republic

But I can keep dreaming.

I'd say your list shows why Bon Jovi haven't been making a rock record for years. One Republic, Shania Twain, Adele... Something like this just screams "desperate for a hit" to me.

Besides, featuring... wouldn't that mean the songs would have to be reimagined as you're not just featuring the singer of said band, but the entire band?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think I may not be understanding this, what do you mean by back to back. Like two full albums released a year apart?

I feel like most years they've done alternating years, especially since 2000.

2000: Crush
2001: OWN
2002: Bounce
2003: TLFR
2004: Box Set
2005: HAND
2007: Lost Higwhay
2010: The Circle
2011: Greatest hits

But I guess yeah, if we are talking new songs on a new album, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2013. A reimagining/reissue would fit into this timeline criteria but no way we're getting a full new album, this year.

Jon's vocal condition might play a role, but he sounds decent enough on the studio recordings. I believe it will be an extended edition featuring three new studio tracks, "Now or Never" and the War & Treaty version of "People's House."

1. Jon was in the studio when he made the announcement and "Fight Somebody" was a new song added to the ASCAP catalog... The duets were not recorded - Not to say some overdubs may be required but it's highly unlikely.

2. A duets album seems unnecessary, especially since the War and Treaty song wasn’t a massive hit. That version might appear on an extended edition, but it’s the only political track on the album. This all feels like it was orchestrated to support Kamala Harris. Jon can’t perform a full song live anymore, so he likely needed their support to manage the promotional campaign.

3. The collaboration with Pitbull was fun, and he also joined in on the live performance of "Keep the Faith" with Armin van Buuren. However, I don’t think this marks a new direction—it seems more like a promotional effort to reach a new audience.

We all know Jon tends to play it safe and avoid risks, so this is likely just him releasing a few additional tracks left off Forever, possibly with the War and Treaty and Pitbull mixes included.

The Pitbull version uses his 2000 vocal, so the only reason it might be included is because it charted.

Did it? On the iTunes chart? With a grand total of 1500 downloads? That's meaningless...unless I'm missing something and it charted elsewhere? It certainly didn't get anywhere close to the top 100 here in the UK.

I needed to double check myself, but Circle was 2009 and GH 2010. Doesn't change your point of course

I mean, are we even fairly certain that Forever reissue will enter Billboard 200? Probably for one week at some random entry
