Jesus ****ing Christ even Bobby would have played a better solo than that. I mean, honestly, if you're not going to put the effort in don't bother with it, could have gone straight into the last chorus and hey presto catchy pop song but no...

i love the new song...easily 8/10 for me...

at this point of their career i want truthful lyrics that mean sth to jon and a nice vibe/energy/groove..

i havent listened to a quality source to safely judge the production but i think in this one shanks manage to add britishy guitar elements into the bj big chorus hooks, and sounds like bj not bj trying to sound u2ish or montern or anything...

the song is fresh to know how it will settle but i m impressed by the whole energy, its a step forward for sure imo

Thanks for the PM's!

This proves that Jon's vocals can still be awesome in the studio. Probably the most passionate vocal delivery from the last few albums IMO. Especially the "burn the house and torch the skylines / there was more than fire in our eyes".

I want to hold off listening until release, but is this song the one that includes the ‘we call home’ part that John shanks had on instagram a month or so ago?

Nope, that must be from Walls.

Thanks for confirming, I was expecting one upbeat and one ballad, but sounds like two upbeat songs instead

Jon sounds good, the song is decent, great lyrics, definitely seem to be aimed at Richie. But I hate the continuation of the U2 rip off guitars. Hate the solo, that build up was just begging for a monster solo. They should have given it to Phil...
