But it's good to see Jon happy and back to being his charming self. He comes across as a miserable bastard 99% of the time on regular interviews and here he looks way more relaxed and natural. He should stick to this kind of thing. With the rest of the band next time, preferably.
It's kinda funny that Jon fails to see the irony in his words. He's too old to write about banging chicks on the backseat of a car, but not for juvenile lyrics about the worst clichés? I'm not talking about Knockout which I believe is supposed to be quite tongue-in-cheek, but of other *serious* songs with terrible lyrics from the last decade which weren't.
He has a little bit of a split personality going on, wanting to be remember as a serious songwriter and avoiding RnR clichés, but knowing that the regular fan loves that type of songs and they are really good are making them, when they want.
So... speculation time, what songs did Shanks *create* by himself before coming to the band? Jon said a couple in the last few of years, wanna bet Knockout is one of them?
