Thanks for clearing that up. Jon wanting to write with Ed would completely contradict what he said during that NJ Interview from 2 weeks ago. Jon said he only wants to write on relevant topics and no longer fictitious stories (which is a total drag btw). I don't think he'd collaborate with Ed to do that.

Jon mentioned something during the Andy Cohen interview about Eds court case and I'm going to assume his text had something to do with that. Probably a good luck, i'm on your side type of message.

I think if Jon and Ed were going to collaborate on something, it would go through agents and management and not texts. Not, Hey, I know you're in court for copyright infringements but after the trial, can you help me write on my new album.

Considering Ed Sheeran's lastest songs, they're everything but fictional.

I'd love to see them collaborating

Jon mentions he's been working with the guy from One Republic. He didn't say writing, just working. And he says multiple times the album is for next year. From memory, this interview was back in March?https://open.spotify.com/episode/61U...QU6ALbuA8DZ1Hw

I wouldn't mind him (at least trying to) working together with Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles. They both have a good feeling for nice pop melodies and he has mentioned them in the past. So it wouldn't be too far out there and I don't think it would differ too much in terms of the musical ideas.

Jon said a lot is coming for the 40th so I'd say both. Jon's due for some new music and I have a feeling that the box set has been done for a while.

I'm not in Jon's head but I think he likes to follow-up "compilations" with new albums (or vice versa) so he doesn't seem nostalgic.

All these releases were within a year:

Crossroads --> These Days
Crush <-- OWN Live
Bounce <-- This Left
Box Set --> HAND
Circle <-- Greatest Hits
Burning Bridges --> This House
Box 2 <--> New Album

Matt confirmed a new Runaway Tours is set to happen, but didn't say when nor where it will take place.

Not excited at all with this, but I hope Jon gives some good news there (voice and musicwise).

Has anyone noticed all the live stuff has been pulled from Amazon music? I’ve had loads on my playlist for years, but they’ve all suddenly disappeared. There were loads. I searched last night to find them and they’ve all been pulled. Maybe this is a precursor to them releasing something. They’re certainly a market for an epic box set. Look at the one Guns n released for Appetite. 10,000 at that price was a bit over ambitious. But BJ surely has a larger and more contemporary fan base.

They do and they don't. The general public only has a few eras they really care about and even then it doesn't guarantee sales especially anything that isn't on Slippery or New Jersey (or Faith and These Days overseas). It's a weird time for physical product considering they've already put out expanded editions of both Slippery and Jersey. If even the most specifically obsessed type of fan (us) had issues with songs we already had being included I don't even know who it would be aimed at.

Guns & Roses I think have a more contemporary fanbase I think because teenage rock fans still see them as a cool band. Teenage rock fans might not even think of Bon Jovi as a rock band, and if they do, they're not exactly cool to like. Which sub culture / ongoing demographic is gonna dig them still? Well, "people who like their music", sure, but they're not a "starter pack" band. Unless we are talking about "80s music" - the very thing JBJ never wanted to become primarily associated with!
