Absolutely. Part of my job is analyzing numbers and figures and analytics etc etc, so I'm very numbers focussed, for better or worse.

Yeah I get that, and again I can only speak for the UK, but it really didn't break out outside of the fan base here. There may have been the odd casual listenter that thought "oh that's ok" or "that sucked" but that's really about it. So I do think Legendary's success or not is very region dependant this time. Unlike the It's My Life's and Livin' On A Prayer's which were worldwide.

I'm not saying that at all. Obvioulsy American Idol was great exposure in the US. Whether that translates into sales or streams is another matter. Just because he played the song on American Idol it doesn't make it a instant success. That exposure has to translate to sales or streams. Maybe it has, maybe it hasn't, I don't know....

Yeah but Motley have always been a rock band and always gone for that audience. Bon Jovi left the rock audience behind a long time ago and it will take a lot more than Legendary to bring them back in. Living Proof has much more chance of that.
But again, it's a casual listen, checking out a band needs to translate into streams and sales, I don't really think that Legendary is doing that as far as streams go.
As I said in another post, I do think that the album will do well. Certainly better than 2020. I'm just not convinced that Legendary is "Blowing up worldwide" like Jon claims...
