It feels like the new album first, and the box set later. Maybe in spring - new album and fall 2024 - box set.

We need more information.

Maybe he is ready to go vocally. Even if he had a surgery or whatever, would require time to heal. If he worked on it anyway.

This is my concern too...I can totally see the box set not happening. Nothing would suprise me at this point.

I'd take the box set over a new album if I had the choice.

Same here. Can't see both happening. Jon's always been the one favouring to do a new album over rehashing older material. It's like when they promised the record company a Greatest Hits right after Lost Highway and then proceeded to record The Circle instead, thus pushing that one even further back.
I don't think Jon would want the comparison of a new album to older material on a Box Set if they were released in a similar time span.

My take, I don't think the box set matters in the grand scheme of promo. If it's anything like the last one, it was aimed at the fans and not the general public but it benefited them greatly that each disc inside = 1 album sale, greatly inflating numbers.

I can see the album promoting a tour and the box set closer to the end of the year. Or even both at the same time if the box set is a Bon Jovi Experience project and it's all online. It may not even BE a physical box.

2004's box set was November of '04, HAND was Sept of '05, ten-ish months apart. I know we're in a totally different world of physical product and demand for the band but that's only 10 months apart. I wouldn't count out the box set yet just because it wasn't explicitly talked about to Andy Cohen.

I have a feeling the box set will be driven by the 40th anniversary documentary, and maybe Jon wants to include this period of new album and new tour as the last chapter of the the documentary. So, if it were me, I would do the following:

Release the new album in spring 2024, coinciding with the anniversary of the release of the band's first album. ((It would be a dream to include Richie in this but I don't think it will happen)). Take a wold tour of stadiums in the summer. Capture footage from this period to be included in the last chapter of the documentary.

In the fall, launch the 40th anniversary documentary series on streaming platforms, with a subsequent physical release of the BOX SET that includes the documentary series on Bluray, and a photo book with some notes.

Finally, a special show (or several) in New Jersey to commemorate the 40 years, playing some songs from the box set, and including Richie Sambora in the show, even if it's only in the final encore.

*December: launch of a digital museum with live shows, never-before-seen videos, historical photographs and write-up of each tour..... But well done, and not that mediocrity called JBJ Experience.

Hi

JBJ was on the Stern Show, singing a little bit "Hotel California", first time he's sang publicly for a year, apart from practising. Pulled from Jerry's (sorry!) with a little clip.

Did JBJ mention anything about 2024? The New Album? If anyone managed to catch it with Jon.
