First and short reaction.
Very solid album. Uptemo and catchy and David’s keys is very present. Living In Paradise and Waves stand out tracks. Living In Paradise sounds like a hit song to me. Surprised Jon hasn’t hyped the song more. I like We Made It Look Easy as well. I can see why Jon think it’s a song suited for radio (although it’s fifteen years to late). My First Guitar and People’s House are skippers for me. The latter sounds like a lame attempt to write a modern Keep the Faith. Seeds is weird but has something. Hollow Man is a Jon solo song like The Fighter or Open All Night.
Overall a good record. The Shanks-guitar sound is all over it but I don’t mind it as much as most. First impression a very solid 7/10.

Very pleasant first listen

Actually quite liking Living In Paradise. Not a stand-out track, but find it to be interesting and the verses catchy as hell.

I'm a sucker for songs like Open All Night anyway, but never liked The Fighter. This one has a sadness and melancholy to it that connects to me. So Hollow Man gets a pass, only Kiss The Bride is a skip for me thus far.

The vocals of Kiss The Bride are so distracting compared to the other songs.

I agree. Hollow Man is not a bad song. I quite like the lyrics. I just don’t feel it’s a Bon Jovi song. It sounds like Jon writing a personal song under the persona for a movie. Kiss the Bride is what it is. Cheesy but has its moments. It’s a smart approach to write a Bon Jovi song so spefically written for one single purpose.
