I think he had a bad night, to mime that night. Something I think social media picked-up on and now people who may see Bon Jovi in 2024 will wonder if will mime or sing? He only mime's livin on a prayer high part, but if did mime through all the tour, it's the end of him. He wouldn't do that I hope.

What's the point of the singing lessons? Just to mime all through the Tour? There's unlikely to be any real improvement but, credit for Jon bothering and
not taking the easy route.....pretend to sing! ( OK. High part of Prayer)

Yes, the livin on Prayer high part didn't destory JBJ's voice.... it certainly didn't help and the lack of care and smoking has caused where are now.....sadly.

It was the second to last show on the tour. Jon completely blew his voice out and it was gone but they hadn't played Prayer. They had a playback ready from previous shows in case this happened. Jon turned his back to the audience and basically mimed into Tico's drumset.

He then came out in the middle of the audience in the next and final show of the tour and sang LOAP as the first song on the setlist, clearly wanting to prove he was still capable.

By the way, a return to his 2014-2017 voice would not be a return to an acceptable standard for live performances. Look up anything from that Asian tour in 2015 onwards and it is unbearable to listen to.

I can't remember a band becoming as washed as Jon and Richie without tragedy or a personal collapse. It is a disaster. Jon's voice is gone and won't be coming back. Who the feck knows what is going on with Richie musically but he is a mess. A reunion tour would make headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Jon is notorious for being a very private type of Rockstar. It's always been a thought of mine that something did happen in his life that we don't know about. Richie's troubles are a bit more public but I do think the dude has to be battling some demons in his personal life as well. But that's just my interpretation with absolutely nothing to back it up...

i really dont think Richies coming back. If jon was a bit undecided he only had to watch that video podcast with the guy from Foos to see he cant rely on him

Yep, he shot his voice right at the first verse of HAND.

He sang full power (let's say like this) "WHY you wanna tell me..." and barely could make it to the end.

Prayer was 100% playback and it was the first time I saw that happening.

Then next day he started with that song. It was a nice move.

Hardly the same. Tyler blew out his voice, but until then they were sounding pretty good, especially compared to current Bon Jovi. Steven and Joe were still killing it. They just need to realise they are older now and need to slow down and not push it so hard. Springsteen had to cancel a bunch of shows this year too! All these legends are struggling to accept that they are getting older I feel.

Springsteen has been suffering from peptic ulcer and is in recovery. He did an exceptional run in the winter and in Europe. And kicked ass (saw him twice).
Though he did slow down as he significantly reduced the setlist to just close to 3 hours show and had fixed setlists for the entirety of the tour.

I don't think though that he cancelled those dates due to his peptic ulcer thing. I think they didn't do good, ticket wise so it was a good opportunity to postpone for next year. Just my thought.
