I can't see it being a phsyical product with a hard bound case etc. It's not gonna happen in this econonmy/state of the band. Maybe it will all be digital, no one really knows.
Well hopefully they go big for rhe 40th as theyve let other anniversaries just go by the wayside. They only acknowledged New Jersey.

Honestly, yeah. I could see them packaging it together. This box set has the potential to be very low over-head depending on how it was done. Or maybe buying the new album gets you access to the vault.

It wasn't promoted great by the label/anyone but it's not like it had enough people's interest to do that process to more albums to be fair.

But you can't just put something out without any promo and expect it to do anything at all. I still think that if they had pushed it it would have done well, but with Jon still not wanting to be a notalgia act, and Richie leaving not long before it was doomed from the start. Leppard really pushed hard on their Hysteria anniversary reissue and it did great. There's no reason to think Jovi couldn't do similar. I still think a Slippery reissue in particular, with a big push could be popular.

i hope 2024 will be full of great Bj surprises!!
So looking at the McCartney and Springsteen editions of this, Jon will perform and other artists will also cover his songs? Is that correct?

Fair enough, yeah. I think had the Richie drama been different, promotion for this would have been to. Hell, promotion for WAN completely stopped after that month. Very little promo appearances minus Amen on Ellen, which I imagine was supposed to be the next single. Personally I've always thought being down a key member was the reason they didn't want to do a butt ton of interviews and have to navigate it without damaging things further.

That timing was one thing I didn't get either. They did Amen on Katie Couric, in fact, it was the last TV promo appearance with Richie. And then, some odd 7 months later, they do it again on one TV show.

Yeah that IS wild. They probably knew putting out a new single and doing promo around it given the state of the band was a bad idea so why do a new song at all? Oh yeah they did What About Now as well too.

I think it all came down to going on the circuit to promote would have put a big spotlight that someone is missing and tickets for that leg were already sold to people expecting to see a full band. A lot of promo probably got scrapped in 2013.

I see they bounding the BoxSet with the new album to ship more copies, but I remember Jon said it was going to be a digital release (BoxSet).

Oh if it's going to be a digital release I don't know why people are complaining they can't promote both in one year. The doc will help push the box set, the tour will push the album but it's not like the general public non fans will give a care about the box set. They'll barely care about the album but it's a much easier sell.
