Default My first guitar

BON "FCUKIN" JOVI.

Now this is a song, probably my favorite on the album, had it on constant repeat this morning driving to work which takes an hour .

Great great song, one of the best in the last 20 years for me. That outro, the kiss refernces...this is what jovi are about for me and proves they still got yhe magic

Totally agree. I wish lyrically it was about a more credible topic, but it’s really good. Unlike some other choruses in the album that seem to hit the brakes this one just soars. My favorite song so far.

EDIT: I just saw Jon explain how he bought back his literal first guitar not too long ago. That’s definitely a cool backstory.

from the snippet this is my issue - i love the melody and the music. Jon sounds great but singing i love my first guitqr is just plain odd.

I'm personally thankful he loved his guitar without that love we may never have gotten Bon Jovi! I think it's a great song.

Absolutely agreed and I thought this will be something like "I wrote you a song". Biggest surprise of the album.

Not my Top 3, but it's growing on me each listening. Just like I felt initially about "Seeds": it's different.

Yeah, the lyrics seem like they were taken from a Tenacious D. song but... Jon and the band make it sound so epic.

Regardless of the backstory with Jon buying back his actual first guitar, I think this angle is what is selling the song for me. In a vacuum the topic is ridiculous, but so are a lot of topics for Bon Jovi songs ("I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse.."). Yet he sells it. I did not think they had this in them anymore.
