There probably are sadly, I just doubt we'll ever hear them.

Hey Ronnie was demoed by Aldo Nova as Hey Johnny, so I doubt there's a JBJ demo.

Just got the book. Gorgeous pictures and it covers the whole band's history. I'd say it's worth the money. It cost me a measly 24€

Don't expect me to do a review since at this rate I won't be able to finish it before the band retires

I got it Xmas day and read it by the 27th. It's a very very quick read.

Superb book though.

I did a quick search to see if this had already been posted but I didn't see it anywhere. Apologies if I overlooked it.

It's an interview that Rich Antonelli (Rocker Dad Podcasts) did with Bryan Reesman, the author of Bon Jovi: The Story. It was posted on YT in May, but I hadn't heard anything about it until a friend sent me a link yesterday.

Reesman goes into a little more detail about some of the interviews he did for the book, and some of the stories he heard, so I thought some of you might be interested, especially those who have read the book.

That was interesting how the author said Jon didn't have much to do with writing Runaway or Prayer. I'm sure Jon doesn't want that out.

In the podcast interview he said Karak wrote most of Runaway. He talks about it at the 27:45 point. He talks about Prayer at 42:05

It wouldn't be a surprise, Runaway is a lot more polished a song that all of the Power Station songs that preceded it and imo head and shoulders above the rest of the album.

Everyone had to start somewhere and Jon didn't have to start out writing bangers from the off, there's no shame that he collaborated with other writers until honing his craft. How much he contributed doesn't really matter as we know he can write some excellent tunes on his own.
