After a few listens I feel like it's a good song. Nothing remarkable but it is solid. I can understand those who don't like it, expectations can be a tricky thing, I got more or less what I expected. It is catchy but there's no obvious hook, the guitar work is solid, Phil has a heavier right hand than Shanks so I'm positive that's him doing the picking on the twangy guitar, but all of that's buried under production. That said, I don't blame Shanks one bit, he's doing solid work, if Jon wanted something cleaner they'd do that. Can't stand the bridge though, can't figure out what they were thinking when they decided on it other than maybe trying to emulate somebody that's escaping me right now. Normally I'd give it a 6, but since everyone's being so harsh to it I'll give it an 8 so that it feels appreciated ....

Edit: gave it a 9 lol!!!

The song is dull to my ears. This is going to get people excited for another BJ album? THINFS is a much better song and even that is middle of the road compared to my favorite BJ tunes.

I gave this song a 5/10, but after listening to it again I may have overshot. The song is very underwhelming to say the least. It's just blah. The lyrics are uninspired, vocals have no feeling, too much repetition, no guitar solo, heck hardly any guitar. It's just more of the same stuff they've been releasing for years. I honestly don't know why I was expecting something different.

Nope. I can't believe they would release this uninspired, recycled garbage.

Seriously, at what point is someone going to ask Jon, really? Another "Life/Live" song? It was tired after the HAND album... that was 15 years ago. The progression, arrangement, production is just as tired.

The verses melody/rythem isn't bad. It isn't fresh but it showed a little promise. But that is possibly the worst chorus since... I was going to say Everybody's Broken, but EB is way better. Maybe WAN? ...but WAN is better, isn't it? That might be their worst chorus ever. Certainly worst lead single. Limitless and Unbroken is a painful way to start this cycle.

Get inspiration and a new producer or call it day.

This cannot be a disaster, because they didn't really try anything. You can't call a person stupid if he/she never said a word. Or in sports terms, you can't miss a shot if you didn't take it. And this song feels like dribbling the ball until the time expires.

I gave this 5/10, which seems to be one of the higher ratings here, but I'm not happy about the song at all. I don't feel offended by how bad it is, because it's not. Instead, I just feel apathy. I remember saying something similar, when THINFS (the song) came out, but this rings even more true for Limitless - I wish this was an actual 1 or 2 or 3, because it means Jon and John actually took a risk. But they manage to make it sound even less risky than THINFS. As terribly unoriginal as THINFS was, at least it felt like they tried to write a Bon Jovi song - they put a classic Jovi structure, the hook was memorable enough, the solo was easy to listen to. At least it felt like it can represent the modern Bon Jovi - unspectacular, yet solid. And this song is just emptiness - after two listens I don't remember the melody, I don't remember a single line or an instrumental riff, nothing. I don't remember anything bad about it either. Meh.

Vocals - bad
Lyrics - bad
Guitar - bad
Drums - bad
Chorus - bad
Verses - bad
Bridge - bad
Solo -

IMO, there isn’t a single thing about this song that would earn it a point. So yes, my rate is a 0/10.

So I listened to it with my earphones and it didn't help either at least the beginning of the chorus is not as bad but it doesn't fit the pace of the verses. Chorus should have a hook, something you burst into while singing.. not this whining. What I really really hate is the.. well, what is it?. the middle section before the last chorus, where a solo would fit. And I really really really hate the repetition of "Limitless", it's soooo annoying.

I don't expect any depth or anything much different from the lead single, but thy lyrics and again especially in the chorus are so bland and uninspired. Those are just random shouts about living the life bacause it's limitless and the need to realize it... give me a break

Someone mentioned THINFS the song - that I think is perfect in terms what the band shoud do. Jon doesn't struggle with it live, it has a catchy chorus. I liked the album when it came out and I appreciate it now even more.

It’s the out of tune bridge that kills the song.

When listening to it on radio this morning it wasn’t to bad...until....that bridge. Just kills it.

I'd probably agree with that. Replace that with a decent solo then the song would be acceptable
