I'm not crazy about the repetition either; but playing the devil's advocate, all that shows is that somebody disliked the song or was bored by it enough to actually count how many times the word was used. Considering the number of times a chorus is often repeated, 21 times didn't sound that out of the ordinary to me, so I checked a few other songs that popped into my head to see how many times the title was repeated.

These Days - 20
Bad Medicine - 26
Love for Sale - 18
Damned - 26
Bounce - 34
Last Cigarette - 24
Walls - 22
Raise Your Hands - 24

For me, the main problem isn't the number of times "limitless" is repeated; it's the way it's repeated with nothing to break up the monotony.

Thanks mate, appreciate it.

I spoke about 2020, the cover and the tracklist as well towards the end. Shame we got the music video a couple of hours later but ah well.

Anyone follow Mitch laffron on twitter? He’s job is to interview rock stars. His favourite bands are kiss and Jovi.

He said he liked Limitless which is fine but I asked him what did he like seeing as this version of Jovi is so far removed from the Jovi that got him into the band. All he replied was I don’t have to explain.

Basically he’s just worried that he’ll upset someone in Jovi camp and they won’t give him an interview.

Wasn’t asking to slag it off just say what he thought worked and didn’t.

The song is growing on me a little bit. Still don’t love the lyrics or the chorus, but I kinda like verses and “trying to keep your head above water.”

Wow! Terrible. It makes me cringe. But I’m not expecting anything special in honesty so it’s no shock.

It beggars belief that Jon can sit back, listen to the finished article and be happy with it. Unimaginative, bland, annoying, unlistenable in parts.

This and Unbroken make This House seem like These Days part 2. I have little hope for 2020.

Oh it’s a grower... it’s not better or worse than anything from the last decade, it’s just how it is in 2020

Getting outraged over a Bon Jovi single in 2020 is rather silly. Do people really expect a better quality single? When was the last time they crafted a truly good song, they really worked on lyrics, music and delivery? Memory, 12 years ago. Don't pretend now that things were better with Richie, Born to Follow, Working Man, Because We Can or What About Now were poorly received.

Jon has proven time and again that he only flexes his artistic muscles when he has a story to sell or something to prove. Otherwise he just counts on his fans being either too gullible or too forgiving and he delivers the bare minimum. And it works for him, they still get their #1 albums and "sold-out" tours. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't change and no, artistic integrity means something different to Jon than it does to us. To him it means he hasn't been forgotten or relegated to share the spotlight with other glories from that era.

The cynic in me thinks that Jon has seen how well his fans accept his lazy fan events and now he only works "harder" in a couple of songs every record to throw those fans a bone while the masses get what they seem to accept without protest, the hits and the interchangeable singles. The last European tour proved this to me, the Jon that had several aces up his sleeve to work the harder audiences is long gone, he's realized he's going to get the applause anyway, so why bother.

I do like the pre-chrorus and chorus (until the ad-nauseatum repetition of Limitless), they give the song the right feeling, it could fit right in with the Greatest Hits songs, which I really like. The abysmal vocals and poor delivery are the worst sin, not the lyrics or the bridge.
