bobby cant play like richie and doesnt want to, so its a deadend.

playing music its about finding a unique musical voice, its just that bobby doesnt fit for bj lead.

it may sound silly to some that jeff kazee was not necessary in any way but i d like a single proof in one song where it added sth to the song , personally i cant find an example apart from the solos they did, maybe in a this left feels right environment where one could play piano and the other organ, other than that NO..

That's exactly what they did. Whether or not you liked what it added, that's up to you I guess. His vocals filled out the sound as well, there's a ton of backing vocal parts to HAND (The song) he helped out on as well as countless other songs.

But yeah for the most part he handled organ sounds so David could handle piano/keyboard and vice versa. I didn't think it was needed but I don't for a second think he was added to the payroll to keep Richie happy. It was only a tour and it was later deemed unnecessary I guess. (minus the Lost Highway MTV Unplugged show)

Precisely. I've heard Bobby play anything "non" Bon Jovi and he was good. But, yea, the Bon Jovi he sucked!

I wanted to find an existing thread to put this in and this one is one that hasn't dropped off into the nether regions of the board for now.

This is a promotional article for RSO following tour & album. Would fit better in the RSO upcoming album thread. (since you talked about finding the correct thread to put this)

whatever bonjovi-related info, is just there to introduce Richie. Nothing new really.

At 6:34 a.m. I'm getting ready to leave for work so I don't have much time to dissect it to be honest.

Does Richie not consider the time between These Days & Crush as off time? I also find the Cher reference very wierd

Good point but the reality has nothing to do with time and/or his daughter. The reality is with Jon. IMO ever since Richie's had his addictions, Jon has been a total douche to him and has been slowly cutting his role as a member within the record making process. Not even so much physically but creatively.

One thing about Jon is, he used to be fun and have a great personality. He's just way too serious now. You'd think he's running for president. And it has nothing to do with growing up. Jon's priorities in life have just shifted.

Just curious how you know for a fact that Jon used to be fun and have a great personality? Have you actually hung around him or is this just speculation from what you see of him in the media? I'd venture to say he's always been the most intense, serious and intense of the band even at a young age.
