I think they're pretty good. Yes, they do sound a bit like Bon Jovi songs, but I don't necessarily see that as a horrible thing.

That said, I won't pass much judgment on a few 10 second snippets. I'll wait until I hear the FULL songs before I deem them good or bad.

Same for me...the snippets didn't grab me but I want to hear the songs in full before I say if I like them or not. In the past, I've never connected with Richie's solos but willing to give this one a go!! And I definitely want to see him live!

The snippets.. they're not bad but definitely not what I was expecting. Still, I can't wait to hear the album in full!

Hehe, I'm strong enought not to listen to the snippets so I don't know what you're talking about
On the other hand, I need to find the songs from the list you mention as already released. There are some I don't know of.

I have the demo of Discipline but not According to The Gospel Of Love. Both tracks are from Desmond's album which I really like! I also have Willing To Try.
But what are the others? Are those songs written by Richie sung by other artists or did Richie record them?

As far as I know:

Let's Get Inside - This was the theme song to "The Insider" when Pat O'Brien hosted it. You can find it on youtube, a short video of Richie in the studio working on it with Luke Ebbin from...2005ish?

Our Secret Place - Unreleased but it's the 4th snippet in the video.

The rest are unreleased. If they've been covered by someone else I haven't heard them.

Don't you think it's odd that this song was named in the list and the other three supposed new album snippets weren't? Why just that one?
