I agree... I was listening the other day, nice that Jon talks between the songs also; and then it came this Harry Styles song, I turned the radio off.

Fully expect the next Jovi album to sound like Harry Styles as Jon says he loves that album!

His "Sign of the times" is a good one. I don't think Jon can manage to sound like him though since Styles can sing pretty well

Harry Styles first album was fantastic and one of my favourite ever albums. I hated One Direction with a passion and I remember watching a TV show here and Harry Styles was on and was ready to turn over and then he belted out Sign Of The Times and I was immediately a fan.

His second album has some quality songs as well. It's a bit more radio friendly but definitely solid enough.

Kiwi from his first album is rockier than anything Bon Jovi have done for about 20+ years

His cover of Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer is fantastic.

It doesn't hurt you to try music out of your regular genres. The "NO GUITARS - IS BAD" is such a strange mentality I never understood.

Incredible version. One of my most listened songs this year, actually. It's available on Spotify now which is good.

Yeah, I agree. His voice is excellent and he covers a variety of genres on his albums. Both albums are very different.

No guitars = bad is bad from a band like Bon Jovi.
I like some poppier bands like The 1975, Fratellis etc who aren’t guitar driven.

The 1975 are such a mess. I liked their debut album, especially when they just were upfront about it all - what they're all about, and just did sappy but immediate pop rock stuff.

Of course, come album #3, they think of themselves of pop intellectuals making grandiose statement. Album #4 is like 2 hours with a ton of fluff and """"smart"""" lyrics. It is pretentious as **** and the music suffers a ton for it.

There's still good parts here and there, but it is borderline insulting to the audience not to edit out all the shit that comes in between and instead insist that everything they do and say is important and needs to make it to the record, needs to be heard.
