This is cool. I always wanted an official CD but due to qualities and rights, it wouldn't be economical for them to do it.

This is a nice alternative.

He had some really great choices and it seems that the band has been doing a deep dive into the catalogue based on some of his comments. Thought his choices were interesting. Have listed them below with some of his commentary if anyone is interested.

NEXT 100 YEARS – Tico told him to check it out. Wants to play it live again.

ALL I WANT IS EVERYTHING – Was really impressed by the playing on this song. Misses playing it live.

THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME – Once of his favourite forgotten ballads.

I AM – Thinks this is a gem on HAND. Looks forward to playing it live again one day.

NOVOCAINE – Was a bitch to play in the studio and live. But loves the song.

IN THESE ARMS – KTF record is full of some of his favourite bass lines. This one is his fave from the album.

SOMETHING FOR THE PAIN – Played lots on the These Days tour and has since been forgotten. Hopes to bring it out live again as it is great to play.

BORN TO BE MY BABY – Fan and band favourite. Loves the bass in this song.

LIE TO ME – Holds a special place in his memory. Loves the intro and is one of those songs where Jon was able to pull amazing lyrics out of nowhere.

THICK AS THIEVES – Hugh’s wife's favourite BJ song. His wife feels that it best captures their relationship.
Wow, this sounds super interesting! Cool choices! Is it possible anyone recorded this for us who can't listen to Bon Jovi Radio? I would love hear it!

THICK AS THIEVES might be my favorite Jon/Richie-collaboration on the WAN album; not that there's that many great ones on there to begin with. But I love these picks. I AM especially!

As cool as this sounds, don't forget what organization we are dealing with.

This will probably be the same songs Jon did commentary on last year which includes the following. I'm hoping for Silent Night or Drummer Boy but the odds of that are slim to none... I honestly don't think one new song will be added. They have enough to fulfill the hour.

Last Year's Commentary included:
R2D2
Back Door Santa
I Wish Everyday.....
Please Come Home For Christmas
Christmas All Over Again
If I Get Home On Christmas Day
Fairytale Of NY

Others to include:
Run Run Rudolph
Christmas, Baby Please Come Home
Blue Christmas
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town / Run Run
Happy Christmas

Maybe even Hallelujah or Jon reciting Twas The Night Before Christmas

The 12 plus songs above could fulfill the hour or so.

Interesting take, the announcement definitely referred to this week as a show, so I'd expect it to be all live takes. Obie didn't actually mention anything about a compilation, that was just my assumption based on the 2 songs played in the announcement being from different shows. Really hoping this won't be studio takes as per the list above.

I've officially accepted the realization that Obie, Bon Jovi Management, or who ever the fcuk makes these decisions are physically not capable of giving the fans anything worthy.

These aren't even Christmas songs. WTF is wrong with them? This is the biggest pile of garbage I've ever listened to.

They advertise one thing and mix together a bunch of other shit that has nothing to do with what was advertised. I'm concerned because I can't believe anyone could be this delusional.

Is there any way possible to get an hour of my life back?

For those interested the songs aired were:

1. CHRISTMAS ALL OVER AGAIN - JBJ CHRISTMAS 2020
2. I LOVE THIS TOWN - SYDNEY 15/12/2013
3. RUN RUN RUDOLPH - SYDNEY 15/12/2013
4. HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER) - SYDNEY 15/12/2013
5. PRETTY WOMAN - FLORIDA 26/07/2012
6. TEQUILA - DUBLIN 10/06/2001
7. TWIST AND SHOUT - DUBLIN 10/06/2001
8. WALTZING MATHILDA (TICO VOCALS) - RED BANK 14/12/1994
9. BLUE CHRISTMAS - WASHINGTON 2000
10. SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL - FLORIDA 26/07/2012
11. BABA O'REILLY - FLORIDA 26/07/2012
12. IF I GET HOME ON CHRISTMAS DAY - JBJ CHRISTMAS 2020
13. HALLELUJAH - 14/07/2008
14. UNDER PRESSURE - FLORIDA 26/07/2012
15. FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK - JBJ CHRISTMAS 2020
16. THE JOKER - YOKOHAMA 26/01/2003
17. I WISH EVERYDAY COULD BE LIKE CHRISTMAS - BOSTON 08/12/1994

Bit of an odd one this week, reminded me of the covers compilation from last year, but not quite as good. However with optimistic hat on, there are 6 songs that have not previously been aired as part of Live From The Archives and you have to be happy with the Tequila and Twist and Shout combo.

Really hoping we get Red Bank 1994 on the week of Christmas.

Is the exact date of the Blue Christmas performance for the Special Olympics fundraiser in 2000 known?
