It's odd as there doesn't really seem to be a pattern to it at all. There have been a number of complete shows, however the vast majority have been incomplete.

My gut tells me that all the Sirius XM shows will be available to purchase once the experience is rebooted and they will be complete. Gives us fans a reason to spend some money to purchase something like Rotterdam 93' to get Drift Away or Stuttgart 96' to get Something To Believe In.

The odd this is that additional mixing and editing would need to be done to exclude these tracks.

Doesn't explain why Vegas 11' and Sunrise 06' were complete though.

I originally thought the removed songs were due to a 1hr runtime, however recent releases have trumped that theory and Metlife 2013 was aired with a runtime of close to 3hrs.

What does everyone else think?
If they wanted us to buy the show, they would have done it from the beginning.

I don't think we'll get the whole thing through JBJ Experience. Of the 34 shows we got in the experience, none of them had more songs than the Sirius broadcast, it was the same.

Why do you think you'll get something more now? not even the rest of the shows that were broadcast on Sirius were included.

I see very little chance that they will resume more sirius shows to add it in JBJ Experience, since basically this site is dead, surely it didn't work for them, neither for us. In case they resume it, you will have a 50% of possibilities that shows like Rotterdam 93 or Stuttgart 96 will be added in JBJ Experience. But as things are, there's nothing that makes me think that we'll ever get these shows with the full setlist.

Who knows why some songs were cut from the setlists, I suppose there are several reasons and not just one. I imagine various scenarios. One of them may be due to technical problems, others because perhaps the performance would have several execution mistakes by Jon or the band, and another is simply because Obie is cutting them at his whim. As in the case of Shepperds Bush Empire 2002, it doesn't make sense that the thing was aired incomplete, like Borgata 2003.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think this is the most realistic scenario.

Back in 2010, when promoting the bonus editions in a radio show, Obie went to great lengths about how a ton of live tapes had been damaged (due to flooding I think) and how some new technology made it possible for him to recover these. He seemed so excited about doing that that it made me think at the time "why don't you rely more on the ones that weren't damaged in the first place". It seemed to be much more adventurous to him trying to reconstruct the others. Maybe a lot of the stuff we get to hear was from that batch and some parts (beginnings / endings of single tapes) just couldn't be saved anymore. May explain why stuff from 2006, 2011 or 2013 was complete since it may have been captured differently at the time (digitally).

The only thing that makes me a little more optimistic is that Bon Jovi hired a team a long time ago to mix things from the vaults, including live shows. So maybe there's a plan to release some shows later, there was also mention of a digital site, like a museum or something, but what's been said in the past doesn't all have to come to fruition. So we're just waiting for what happens.

Everything I've heard from the band camp regarding the Experience leads me to believe it was shut down to make way for the new one. I fully think it will involve the digital library that was promised a few years ago. Maybe it took more time than expected to get everything together or maybe they wanted to wait until the 40year anniversary.

No idea if it will be an annual/monthly charge or you purchase a-la-carte the stuff you want but this makes all the sense in the world versus physical product

This was more around the new relaunched experience and Jon's comments for the 40th anniversary, where he said that hundreds of live shows would be available. I'd just assumed that a substantial number of these would be what was aired on SiriusXM, but perhaps complete if they were available to purchase and download.

I'm under no illusion that this is extremely unlikely. I just don't understand why you would skip one song from a 28 song set, especially when there doesn't appear to be a time or length constraints. I highly doubt that the performance of STBI from Stuttgart was the reason it was cut.

This is going to get lost in the shuffle when people start commenting. Why don't we do this? I'm the second post so I'll copy and paste all the stuff from your first post into my post and you continue from your first post? Just put a note explaining that.

Edit: I did it so not you can continue back to your first post

We don't know the reasons, but I don't think he's skipping tracks for a bigger plan to make it complete in the future.

Perhaps the lack of STBI is simply due to technical or recording problems. In one of the audios Obie commented that they recorded with two OB vans, with time constraints, to record an entire show, but sometimes they only had one unit, and once the tape ran out, they had to switch to another, losing minutes in the process. Maybe that was the reason it wasn't included, probably it was incomplete... or Obie just wanted to cut it for some other reason.

I think we read way too much into it and at the same time overestimate their abilities. After more than two decades of being fan I truly believe they have no idea what they are doing and have no plan at all when it comes to stuff like that.
I don't think there is any higher reason for the missing track(s) but that they just messed it up. The pattern of missing tracks is too much of a chaos to blame recording lenghts or something like that for it.
While Stuttgart 1996 is an absolute gem show-wise, I was shocked when I listened to the mix. For a professional recording from a band that big as Bon Jovi, the quality is just terrible. Either they compressed it to death to save space and make broadcasting easier or they have no idea how to record and mix a live recording (and thus mostly depended on recordings and mixes from third parties when it came to live B-sides).
There are audience recordings that sound much better than this professional recorded show.
