If I remember correctly, it was an interview on the box set DVD.

‘it should, could, would have been on the album… This is my formal apology’.

Default Slippery When Wet: Deluxe Edition (2024)

Amazon preorder is up now

Release date is February 28th, 2025.

Incidentally, that’s exactly 20 years after original release date for Destination Anywhere - The Film DVD before it was pushed back.

I’m not sure how invested I am in this release yet. Only 7 extra tracks and the album will probably not be mastered very well compared to the original CD. I may just purchase the bonus tracks digitally. If it included a DVD like the New Jersey Deluxe Edition then I’d pick up a physical release.

I'll probably just refer to streaming at first. I know I'm in the minority but I'm kind of sick of another half-assed SWW reissue. The album had killer tracks, but there have been so many great albums that never were revisited and even this one neither really dives into the making of it (i.e. demo stages) or the live tour.
My advice:
- original unmastered release
- the leaked demo takes on YT
- VH-1's Ultimate Albums: SWW documentary
- a live show like Largo 1987 (which was actually Landover) that currently even is on Spotify I think

With that, you'll have a nice evening and probably more vibes and background of that era than any reissue has given us thus far.

I was just watching this on youtube. Unfortunately I could only find the first part. Anyone knows where to watch the other half?

Im the same. My money stays in my pocket.
A 30 year release should contain songs that didnt make the album.
We really dont need live versions again, How many times we heard these songs live? OK maybe not those exact perfotmances (2 I think) but live in general.

This release is another half assed money grab = like the water vinyl and the book.

So many bands releasing great stuff in terms of boxsets and anniversaries but not Bon Jovi.....oven mit anyone?

LOAP and RYH were just the 2024 Mixes, or at least similar enough.

Yes, they are identical it seems to the 2024 Mixes. Not sure why they didn't just call Prayer the 'Extended Obie O’Brien Mix' like Raise Your Hands.

The album does seem to be a new remaster though, rather than re-using the same one, like the debut album appeared to. It's not quite as loud as the previous remaster..

Whoever loaded it onto Spotify put it as 1984. So it's a completely hidden release without going digging. Would be fine if KTF remix wasn't released too.

Also, just noticed - the version of Wild In The Streets in from the March 19th show, not the 18th like listed.

The 18th version was the one previously released as a B-Side, while the 19th show was the one that aired on Sirius. The version on this deluxe edition is definitely from that show!
