They should have picked a live songs off Bounce.

Bounce was ignored b/ of this Carlsson guy who co-wrote the two main singles and they don't want to pay him royalties.

Everyday - Bon Jovi, Sambora, Carlsson

Misunderstood - Bon Jovi, Sambora, Carlsson, Child

All About Lovin' You - Bon Jovi, Sambora, Carlsson, Child

Interesting theory. Any evidence to back it up? (I'm not getting on you, as I think you might be right, just curious)

That's a really interesting way of looking at it. It's a theory I've never considered but would certainly help explain why both Everyday and/or Misunderstood were omitted.

That might be true. I mean, Everyday was a big single worldwide (except in the USA.) Misunderstood did alright, and I think it should've taken place of WWWB on the second disc, because WWWB barely did anything. But it is Jon's recently self-proclaimed "favorite song ever" so that makes sense. What doesn't make sense to me is that Bounce was completely left out in the cold.

I have always wondered about George Karak. I mean how much money he must have made off of ONE song! Think about it....Cross Road sold what? 15 million copies worldwide! something like that...i mean if he got 25 cents for every copy sold thats 4 million bucks! for ONE song! plus original album sales and everywhere else it has appeared. ONE SONG! set for life!

This is just my theory.

I always think of reasons why certain songs are NOT included in compilation sets. Why the Live CD (OWN LIVE) & Special Editions don't include all their original eras. My theory comes down to Alex. They don't want to pay him the royalties so that’s why Prayer & Wanted, ETC are from 2000/2001 era.

My head was spinning as to why no Bounce songs were included. It made absolutely no sense to me. Everyday was a Grammy Nominated Song, Hit #1 on VH1, was a big outside the US, and you'd think they'd want to represent each album. Especially with all the time remaining on disk 2. Then it hit me, I remembered that they brought in outside song writers for Bounce. I looked it up on Wikipedia and sure enough, there was that guy who I never heard of all over the songs.

We all know how Jon is with $. And I believe that is the answer.

George Karak is awesome. No Karak = No Runaway = No Success For JBJ & Co.

I wish Jon would write with him again.

You may be right with Bounce stuff. Andreas Carlson was a writer for Backstreet boys and the like!

However the theory on Alec royalties is most likely wrong. Only the song writers get royalties! Everytime LOAP is included on a compilation, played on the radio, or whatever JBJ/RS/DC get money...not David, Alec or Tico. They most likley got there flat fees for playing on the song. Other than that they get nothing. That's why its so important to get your name on any song as a writer...get $$$$ for the rest of your life, if it turns out to be a huge hit.
