I think you should find both interviews, post EXACTLY what was stated, and then figure out each timeline. There are a lot of interviews, recorded at different times, and people speaking in past and present times.

Take off the blinkers RD. JBJ is known for contradicting himself. I mean, now he didn't even know his voice was broken until his wife told him, even though the band had to tune down even lower for the whole tour in 2022. Wake up!

Actually that's how it usually happens nowadays. Interview are all done remotely and they will have a schedule over one or two days and do the majority of the interviews. It's not like the old days when bands used to go on promo tours and do interviews for weeks on end. That just doesn't really happen anymore.

Question

Interesting Jon breifly mentions Hugh in the studio when talking about Prayer so I guess that that will be mentioned in the doc too! I know Hugh has confirmed that he played on all the records (bar 7800) but has Jon ever acknowledged this before?

Not sure he has but Bob Rock did say last year that it was always Hugh he had worked with in the studio and Alec had rarely been present. That's as much confirmation as I need considering Rock was there for SWW, NJ and KTF.

Question

Also interestingly, Jon pretty much repeats the quote about "The door is always open" for Richie. Which really makes me question the validity of the Loudwire interview. Is there any audio of the quote about them not being in touch?

Oh yes, I'm not doubting the fact that Hugh played on those albums at all, I was just wondering if Jon had ever talked about it

Nope. Just Richie, Bob and Hugh himself.
