The odd thing is, I don't know a single person who has bought her album. Or at least, no one that's admitting to it.

You can listen to clips of the record (Susan Boyle) on Amazon. Not one song written by her. All covers. She's got a good voice, no denying that. But who is this appealing to? Who wants to hear a 60 year old woman covering Madonna and the Monkees?

This story may disturb but I'll tell it anyway. We asked my uncle what he wanted for is birthday. He joked that he wanted a c**k ring before telling us he actually wanted Susan Boyles album. My mum was so ashamed of buying it, he ended up getting the ring.

As I checked yesterday, The Circle is #20 (from #17) in Austria and Follow is #42 (from #23) in singles chart

I somehow think they forgot to update the chart

In her defence, she's 48. (but that's the only defence I have on this one)

She's basically the same age as Jon. It's no exagerration to say, if I saw the 2 of them together, I'd guess she was his mother.

I agree with you. I too am 48 and IMO SB looks like she could be late 50's to mid 60's. I was shocked when I found out her actual age.

She has a great voice and everyone likes to cheer for the underdog but does she deserve to have the biggest selling album? I just shake my head when I look at what's going on in the music industry today.
