The Circle (New Album)

Oasis' last album was brilliant. The one before that was very good.

Just gave it my 5th listen and now I'm going to bed. lol

I have one major problem with it - and I think its the producers fault.

It just sound quite watered down.

There's no raw rock sound to it.

Why the hell don't the band just record an album live and leave it at that, because I'm pretty sure live that song WILL rock.

on bonjovi.com and on island record page they have it streaming it's way better version so I feel better about the song ... I like it but I don't love it nor I hate it

They wasnt great,havnt been since morning glory, not saying there bad.
Just not great!
To me oasis could of been the best band ever, certainly had the ability.
But they went to much like beatles alot of pop songs, when they should be thereselfs like the early albums.

I just think lets be grateful bon jovi or still out there releasing music ya know ..and the single is good lets appreciate it.

Seems like a hell of a lot has happened in the few days I've been away!

First, We Weren't Born To Follow ... off of one listen. As a song in its own right it's not bad ... catchy, and I like the fact that it's got a bit of a longer, more wordy chorus. I quite like the main guitar line (I can't really describe that as a riff).

But as a first look at The Circle, the so called return to big riffs and rock n' roll, it is a tad disappointing. Sounds a bit like Any Other Day mixed with the first single off the latest Nickelback record ... we're hardly talking a Keep The Faith style lead single here. And it's a shame that Jon's voice doesn't really seem to show the massive improvements we saw during the LH tour. I expect it will grow on me some, but I also don't expect it to go into my top BJ songs list, or even my top Post 2000 BJ songs.

I haven't seen anywhere, any word on when the single will be physically released.

Even though the song's a bit of a letdown, I'm still looking forward to The Circle, a new BJ album always goes into pretty heavy rotation in my listening, and I'm looking forward to being able to debate about it here And I'm still hopeful that there'll be at least a few of the riff rock songs we've been hearing about on there.

Also, I like the single cover. Hoping the album artwork is decent, and gives the album title a bit of meaning as well
