Song definitely misses some dj's scratches and maybe a rap part too..

forgive me - i needed to say this.. thought it would be funny..
I started to laugh cause i don't give a damn any more.
We have another record coming.. plenty of music.. book and the movie..
Woke up this morning and feel kinda happy..

i'm sure that everyone of us will find something interesting on the record.
It won't be another KTF or TD but.. hey ! we already have those 2.
Rock on (well.. pop on) ?

Yeah, a new record is always exciting and there'll be many more 80+ page threads discussing it

Well here is my verdict. I have given it 5 or so listens now and I must say I do like it. I liked it the first time but it is a song that grows on you.

Comparisons between IML and HAND and so forth - I don't hear them. And to be honest I'm much more excited about this song than I have been for any other post 2000 singles. Solo isn't very good but hey I'm sure it will still be a fun song live.

As for links to the Jonas Bros or whatever they are called, grow up. I don't even listen to them so I wouldn't know if there was a link! Be ashamed that you do IMO.

As for the rest of the album, I think there is still hope. We tend not to get very good singles anyway so I'm sure there will be something on the album for everyone. Unless of course you don't like pop/rock... Which Bon Jovi have always been may I say.

OK - Have now listened to this this about 10 times and am listening now.
my verdict....its a very very good song.
Its better than anything of Lost Highway, HAND or Crush and thats all most of us ask for.
I really think its a demo though. The song builds up and Jon shouts "guitar" but theres no solo at all. I think the final version will have a solo.
It happened with the leaked version of Memory - the end had changed by the time the album came out.
Its a great song. Drive along, windows down and this song blasting.
I just hope the rest of the album is like this - i dont want ballads.

I think it's the radio edit of the single. They tend to cut parts of the song for that purpose. And yeah, i think the solo will be better on the record. I also think it might have more of an outro.

Agree 100%. The best single artwork in years, maybe ever.

In quite a few of my posts on here, I have made it plain that I prefer Jovi's older stuff, I hated the HAND album and with the exception of one or two tracks, Crush was a weak album.

The subject matter and lyrics on Lost Highway were actually more refined than anything they've done in a long time (Whole Lot Of Leavin' could be a cracking live tune without the violin and with a little more guitar).

As for WWBTF, okay, it's still a bit 'It's My Life' 'Everyday' ish and there isn't a riff to speak of but the band have changed. They won't write another 'Lay Your Hands On Me', 'Bad Medicine' or 'Homebound Train'... I made peace with that fact a long time ago. I am just glad that they have written something I can jump around and sing along to when they visit Wembley next year.

I am still anxious at the prospect of the album, seeing as the last 'big loud rock record' turned out songs like 'Bells Of Freedom' (Westlife on a bad day) and 'Last Cigarette', which would make McFly blush...

All in all, hopeful, happy enough but reserving judgement 'til I hear the whole package.
