So if it is going to be released next year, it sort of pours scorn on the excuse they used for cancelling the Perth show, you know the recording of the album was at a critical stage.....................

True. But if anyone believed that to begin with, they've probably already figured out some way to explain it.

On the bright side, though, it also kinda blows the theory that Richie was trying to time his album's release to coincide with the new Jovi album so he could take advantage of the band's publicity...

I, like many, would really like to know the reason why it's being delayed....many theories out there and of course we'll probably never know. My take is that it is not quite good enough and needs an amount of reworking to get it up to scratch.

I am really looking forward to it though

I think it just shows, like I said the other day, that neither Ori or Richie have a clue what they are doing. Playing at being rock stars and making a record that's probably all over the place.

But if Richie's happy doing that and he's bankrolling the thing then he can keep doing that as long as he likes. He left the band to be happy and get out of the commercial machine and he's certainly doing that.

I doubt it will drop next year. I wonder how many times they have started this album from the beginning. Surely taking years to complete it means the songs may have changes during that time. If the songs are good, I think it would have been released by now.

I think any hopes of this album being good have gone.

I think it will suck big time. When you consider it took Richie 14 frigging years to complete AOTL and yet it's a complete mess. Crappy record, cancelled shows, that's m'y Ricky.

Gotta disagree with the logic. It didn't take 14 years to make AOTL, 14 years passed in between solo albums. For all it's faults and praises the album took however many months it took. To compare that to this process is an absolute disservice. This has been do'overs and start'er'agains.

Probably hits the nail on the head.

Assuming Richie left Bon Jovi because there was too much direction, now he has none. Maybe Richie actually needs someone to guide him a little.

I think it may just be as simple of them not having found a way to release the stuff that's satisfactory to them. I hoped that having Doc there might have overcome that, no such luck....
