And I can not believe that Jon continues with John Shanks doing albums, that even now he plays with them on tours.

I don't want to turn this into a Shanks thread but my thing with him is, be careful what you wish for... We blame him for a lot but it's really Jon... I was watching some older interviews yesterday from the early 90s and I can't believe it's the same guy... sure we all mature but he's just not the same guy... I think his whole outlook on music has changed and this is the best of him...

Hey! You guys may be on to something... What if we just hook Ori up with Shanks? Then maybe Jon and Richie would get back to business as usual!!

Good posts.

I don't think they have a style. Ori never had one. Richie kinda had a style outside of Bon Jovi. Together - I don't think they have a style. In fact two lead guitarists (with the "lesser" being the better player) and two completely and utterly different vocalists it would be a strugle to find a style for them.

I don't think money is an issue as such. But I am also not sure that Richie understands how much the world has changed and there will not be a profitable album. And as long as he is looking for one, there will not be an album period. Being it recorded or not.

And I do think it is recorded. I just think that they are continuing for the third year on their rock'n'roll star vacation. I doubt either of them understands how long it has been.

I have said it before - year ago? two? - that I am no longer expecting a record. If it comes out, I think I will probably like it, because I like both of them individually. But who knows.

Like Jackie's Grandma said. I will look for it when I see it coming."

I think there all suffering from the U2 syndrome of taking forever re-tweaking album recordings.

I don't think that's fair.

U2 released their latest album in late 2014, then spent the whole 2015 on tour (ended in December), thent went on another tour in May this year. So that's 1.5 years for this new album. Plus, they're obviously not going to release it now that they're supporting 30 years of The Joshua Tree, that would be suicidal. So while it's not super productive (most of bands this age aren't, I wish Jon wasn't so quick with his album releases), it's nowhere near as bad as Richie situation, where he plays like ~10 shows per year and does **** all rest of the time.

Don't you dare downgrade U2 like that

I'm a huge U2 fan too, and they've remade the album by choosing Trump as the new president. But the album is ready, in fact, last week they filmed a new video in Amsterdam for what will be their next single, which would be released in September-October. The single is called Blackout or The Black out.
