Thanks man. Richie will not return in the short term. We all know.

Richie will not return unless Jon begs him too 'cuz Jon is the one who closed the door on him (he really should forget he's not Michael in The Godfather!!! He's only Johnny Fontane... ).

Just found this interview that seems to confirm that Bearden is the new producer:
Quote:
“Yeah, I’m in the studio at the moment,” Orianthi announces. “Richie Sambora and I are working on something with Michael Bearden, who used to be Michael Jackson’s musical director, and it’s coming up really, really well. It’s a new direction for me but it’s working out really well.

“Michael has also worked with Madonna and Lady Gaga and just has so much energy,” she adds. “So this whole process of Richie and I working with him has been a lot of fun.”

Orianthi is currently in Australia for a couple of gigs without Richie. She played 2 Xmas songs at a charity event, she did better than the other day with Richie and the kids choir but still not that great and she couldn't hit the high notes... but good guitar playing.

Richie was not at the Christmas Carols show (saw a bit of negative, apparently she was chewing gum along with forgetting Silent Night) But he is in Australia. If you look on her IG you'll see them in Sydney. He'll probably be at her solo show.

There you see the difference between the Bon Jovi Machine with all those low-class guys saying and doing the same low-class stuff but keeping it within the Machine (well, more or less!) and Richie's female entourage talking and tweeting too much, always prone to get their 15 minutes of fame...

Could we please keep this thread focused on music/musical instruments instead of gossip? Or else we might as well talk about his hair here too, not mentioning his shoes on the last picture... Richie??? Richie!!!

EDIT: his FB admins just posted this message (Too good not to share. Yes, I'm a copycat! No drama!):
Quote:
RICHIE is currently down in AUSTRALIA on holiday (he'll be home for Christmas) supporting ORIANTHI in her homeland (she's being honored.) Since its personal time we didn't expect much communication from Richie and wanted to respect his private time..
Paparazzi, however, grabbed some truly awesome shots of Richie and Ori kicking around Darling Harbor in Sydney...
Richie had a local performer try to teach him how to play the traditional Australian instrument, the didgeridoo...
Too good not to share.

Fresh from the press! Orianthi interview. No news is no good news aka the art of speaking but saying nothing!

Quote:
Is there potential for something to happen with Prince further down the track?

Oh yeah, we’re going to collaborate I think. Me, Richie and Prince are going to do something in the future. He’s just such an amazing musician. I was running on the treadmill the other day and Prince called … I picked up the phone (I didn’t know who it was) and he was like ‘Hello this is Prince’ it was hilarious. It doesn’t even feel like real life. I’m not going to say that it’s normal by any means.

When does your new album land?

There’s no set date … when it feels completely right. At this point I want to put a lot of songs down and feel like ‘Okay, this is our sound, this is exactly what we want everyone to hear as our first recorded thing.’

Will you perform any of these songs at The Gov. on Sunday?

I don’t think so … well we might. We don’t know. If we can pull it together in time. We’ll play some covers that’s for sure. Maybe me and Richie will just play something acoustic. If we’re not too jet-lagged. It’s going to be so much fun. Having this support from people here in Australia means a lot to me. I truly love it here in Adelaide. I’m going to get a place here too.

Pretty excited about Orianthi's gig tomorrow in Adelaide. The venue is awesome and is quite small, and from all reports Sambora will be making an appearance. Should be good.
